"You're An Undergraduate, Protect Your Future Now!!!" - Sen. Comr Philip A. Emmanuel advises students...

19th of May 2025 marks a milestone in the university's history as Sen. Comr. Philip A. Emmanuel, the immediate Past Provost of the Student Union Government - SUG unveils the new sign post against Indecent Dressing and Drug Abuse located just in front of the Gloryland (Main) Campus School Gate.

The officially unveiling was done by the Ag. Chief Security Officer of the university Mr. MacMoses Shidi.
To mark this event was the Immediate Past SUG President, Comr. Enrico Cavallari and his Executives as well as the Incumbent President, Comr. Tamaratare Apere and his Executives amongst other Comrades In the University.

Students are thus advised to shun drug abuse and protect their future by dressing decently to campus as they go through this phase of life in becoming professional in the society.

7th Niger Delta University Combined Convocation/ 25th Anniversary

It was a double loaded event as the Visitor of the University Sen. Douye Diri performed the ground breaking ceremony of the 5,000 muti-purpose Convocation area and he also witnessed the conferments of degrees and higher degrees in the University where the total number of graduands was
Bachelor degree - 5726
Masters degree - 458
PhD -145
69 1st class.

15th may 2025 marks the 25th year the University was signed into law and bill passed to a State owned university.

The Vice Chancellor in his speech, thanked the Governor for his good works in the university and promised to work with the State Government to make the state a peaceful one.
The University Visitor Sen. Douye Diri advised the students to be architects of their own future.
The climax of the event, was the announcement and call to the commissioner of works the construction of the Sandroad leading through Arts and Agriculture to be completed on record time...

The event was attended by the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, School Governing Council, Green and Red Chambers members representing the State, Representative of other Universities,Traditional rulers, Council Principal officers of the University, Graduands amongst others.
