We had the pleasure of photographing Mr. and Mrs. Olumuyiwa as they celebrated a milestone year together. When Tobi reached out to me about capturing his parents, I started working on the moodboard and couldn’t help but reminisce about the good old days.
You see, back when we were kids, the Olumuyiwa house was the spot. We’d all gather there during the holidays, play games, chat, and make some noise—typical boys’ stuff.
I vividly remember Mrs. Olumuyiwa always going out of her way to make us feel welcome. She would say things like, “You are our children, so feel free—this is your house,” and she’d proudly show off her latest paintings.
With those memories in mind, I knew exactly how I wanted to approach this shoot: warm, inviting, and artsy—just like them. Thank you, Tobi, for trusting us to capture your parents’ beautiful story through these images.
