A woman can carry a child in her womb, carry a household on her shoulders, carry responsibilities at work, and still find the strength to smile like everything is okay.

She cooks. She cleans. She works. She nurtures. She sacrifices. She worries. She provides. She gives love even when she is exhausted.

And sometimes, the heaviest thing she carries is everything nobody sees.

To every woman doing her best while carrying more than people realize, I see you. I appreciate you.

Alone, Yet Carrying Two

Pregnancy can sometimes feel like standing alone in the middle of an endless, quiet, and overwhelming desert.

There are pains no one else can carry for you.
There are nights when the emotions become too heavy, yet you still wake up and keep going.
There are fears you cannot explain, tears you wipe away yourself, and moments when you wish someone could simply understand what your body and heart are going through.

But through it all, there is a little life growing within you.

You carry the weight of the pregnancy, the physical pain, the emotional changes, the uncertainty, the fear, and the love all while carrying your baby.

Nobody can walk every step for you. Nobody can feel every ache. Nobody can carry your child the way you do.

Sometimes, motherhood begins long before you hold your baby in your arms.
It begins in the moments when you feel completely alone and still choose to keep going.

Like a woman crossing a desert with nothing but faith, she keeps moving…....because she knows she isn’t truly alone.

She is carrying her baby.
And somehow, her baby is carrying her too.

Pregnancy can sometimes feel like standing alone in the middle of an endless, quiet, and overwhelming desert.

There are pains no one else can carry for you.
There are nights when the emotions become too heavy, yet you still wake up and keep going.

WE ARE NOT A PEOPLE WITHOUT A PAST.

There is something deeply painful about growing up in a society where you can slowly begin to feel like your own culture is foreign to you.

We inherit names, languages, traditions, clothing, stories and ways of life from people who came before us, yet somewhere along the way, we were taught to hide pieces of ourselves to fit into a world that told us what normal was supposed to look like.

We learned to dress a certain way to be accepted.
To speak a certain way to be taken seriously.
To look a certain way to be considered modern.
And somehow, our own cultural attire became something we only bring out for weddings, funerals, celebrations and special occasions.

But why?Why should the clothes our grandmothers wore become costumes we wear once or twice a year?
Why should the traditions that carried our ancestors through hardship become something we are embarrassed to practice in everyday life?

We were simply taught to look at it through someone else’s eyes.
Behind every piece of cultural attire is a history. Behind every tradition is a generation that survived long enough to pass something down to us.

And perhaps that is why this matters so much.
Because when we stop wearing our culture, speaking our languages, teaching our children our traditions and telling them where they come from, we don’t just lose clothing.
We slowly lose pieces of ourselves.

We can embrace modernity without abandoning our identity.
We can live in a Westernised world and still proudly say, this is who I am.We can build businesses, pursue education, use technology, travel the world and live modern lives, while still honouring the soil that raised us and the people whose strength made our existence possible.

Our culture should not only appear when there is an invitation.
It should live in us.

Not as a costume.
Not as a performance.
Not as something we are ashamed of.
But as a living, breathing part of who we are.
Because before the world told us who we should become, we already belonged to something.

We come from places that were never designed to make life easy.
From narrow streets, weathered walls, old homes, dusty roads, and surroundings that taught us early that nothing would simply be handed to us. We came from conditions that some might look at and call difficult, but when we look back, we see something different.
We see home.
We see the beginning of our story.
Those surroundings shaped us. They taught us how to endure before we even understood what strength meant. They taught us to find laughter in the middle of struggle, to dream when there wasn’t much to dream with, and to stand tall even when life gave us every reason to bow our heads.

We are proud of where we come from not because it was perfect, but because it wasn’t.
Every hardship left something behind. Every difficult day built another layer of character. Every limitation challenged us to become more creative,more determined. The things we once wished we could escape became the very things that gave us our backbone.And somehow, through it all, we found happiness.

Not the kind of happiness that comes from having everything, but the kind that comes from knowing how far you’ve come. The kind that makes you laugh freely, appreciate deeply, and hold on tightly to the people who walked the same roads with you.

Today, we can dress differently. We can stand differently. We can dream bigger.But we will never forget those streets.Because before the confidence, there was survival. Before the strength, there were struggles. Before the dreams became possible, there were places that taught us never to stop dreaming.We are not ashamed of our beginnings.We carry them with us.Because where we come from did not break us.

She stood where the fire could reach her, and for the first time, she didn't run.
She let the pain burn.
She let the betrayal burn.
She let the fear, the guilt, the nights she cried herself to sleep... burn.
Because some things aren't meant to be carried forever.

The flames behind her are not destroying her, they are consuming every version of herself that was built from survival instead of self-worth.
She is not the ashes of her past.
She is the woman who walked through the fire and refused to become it.
