slow travel magic…
In the gentle embrace of a cloudy day, we meandered through Georgetown’s streets, immersing ourselves in the local rhythm. Each mural tells a story, blending seamlessly with the town’s heritage buildings. Slow travel allowed us to savor local delicacies like Cendol and Penang Laksa and to absorb the hidden nuances and appreciate the authentic beauty that often escapes hurried glances. A unique blend of history and flavours.

Longing for tropical motifs and aesthetics satisfied! On a trip to Penang Hill on the Penang Island in Malaysia we came across an Aviary Ginger Garden. Between the Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn climate conditions allow nature to thrive, experiment and just unleash creativity. And she's not a minimalist. Lush and diverse! Opulent. Astonishing.

Tropical depression, storm is approaching.
Last tourists abandoned the island.
Due to the weather conditions ferries stoped running and don’t bring new guests.
Local people taking a break waiting for the busy times. Days off.

For a while we are the only tourists here… Whole tropical island for us!? Cut from the outer world. Lazy exploring the island. Just being here. Waiting.

How many 🌶️??? It has been a while but the memory of flavours and scents is so vivid. Cooking malaysian curry and sambal from the scratch at the cooking class in Cooking School Melaka! So fresh and delicious. Thank you for that great experience.

What a wonderful view and… an excellent hunting area! With all those unaware visitors bringing some snacks and drinks!

To reach Batu Caves visitors must climb a steep flight of 272 steps. Being accompanied by those sweet and … very dexterous macaques! It’s amazing to watch how they just get what they want. And you have no choice but to give them what they demand ;)

all colours of the light spectrum, all colours of the rainbow 🌈 are applied here to praise the divine. Derived from nature, they are not accidental and each of colours has a specific meaning, connected with deities.

Impressive temples in an impressive location. The cave is one of the most popular Hindu shrines outside India.

Look up and the first thing that will catch your attention is impressive modern skyline of skyscrapers and among them the famous Petronas Twin Towers reigning over the heads…. makes you feel so tiny…

Look down and around you. And you feel like in a different place, drown to the cosines of the old shops in the narrow streets, to the smell of fresh cooked food from the street stall, scent of the pandan leaves. Where local people gather together to enjoy the warm tropical evening.
