Hey everyone,

This is my follow up on the RK G68 review that I posted up earlier :) Enjoy~

==================================

The RK brown switch is a tactile switch but it is pretty quiet and feels very comfortable to type for long hours, but being a budget switch, the RK brown is still a little scratchy during actuation and the key wobbles are quite prominent in my case, the tactile bump is subtle but definitely noticeable.

I’ve always heard good feedbacks about the Gateron Yellows and thanks to Hamaji's review video, I really learned a lot about switches in general. I have been using the RK G68 with its stock brown switch for about a couple of weeks now and I can’t seem to be able to shake the thoughts of getting the Gateron Yellows to try it out so I ended up ordering them online and they are finally here after a week of waiting time.

First impression on the Gateron Yellow is that they are not that much different than the RK brown that I have, they felt and sound similar, I was almost starting to feel regret for getting them but I’ve told myself to give it a try and use it for at least a couple of days.
After using the new Gateron Yellows for about a week, mainly just normal email typing and short sentences, I have to say they are really pretty good. I haven’t tried to game with it for now but for normal usage they are really great on the fingers. You will feel that every keypress seems a little smoother than the usual clicky/tactile keys where you will feel the bump while typing, the gateron yellows feels like typing on a membrane keyboard but with the travel of a full height switch.

I am still trying to get use to the linear style switch after switching over from using the tactile brown switch from RK, the linear/mushy feeling might be something you will take some time to get use to, I still get missed keys or typos when I am typing a little faster but the sound it makes is really ASMR worthy.
All in all, I am pretty satisfied with the RK G68 and for it’s price of RM 199, there’s really not much other competitor for this keyboard, swapping the switches to Gateron Yellows just made them better, giving the use a slightly elevated user experience.

After using my previous mem-chanical keyboard from Razer for a few years, I’ve finally moved to a REAL mechanical keyboard and the keyboard I’ll be talking about today is the RK ROYAL Kludge - RK G68 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard.

The RK G68 comes in the 68 keys layout, so there are no function keys on the top and the number pad is also not making an appearance. What is left is just the basic 68 keys layout with the additional arrow keys making the navigation slightly easier.

The RK G68 also comes built in with RGB lighting, there’s a total of 19 RGB modes and the you can set the LEDs to show the usual rainbow puke effect or the individual colours as well. I personally switch it off immediately after I start using the keyboard as my keycaps are not shine thru so they don’ t look that good with RGB but when I do use the LEDs, I will have it show the plain white colour and nothing else.

The RK G68 is factory fitted with blue/brown/red switches but unfortunately, they are not from the usual Outemu or Gateron (Cherry is totally out of the picture because of the price), they are in-house switches made by RK Gaming themselves and I’ve opted for the brown switch for my order this time.

I’ve typed on a few mechanical keyboards that uses blue switches in the past as I am a sucker for the clicky sound made by the blue switch, they are almost music to my ears, but the brown switch from RK gave me a different perspective on the switch sound that I have enjoyed for so long…

I'll share more about my experience using the keyboard in my upcoming post but for now, this is my first impression of the Royal Kludge RK G68 πŸ‘πŸΌ

Been using my laptop from ILLEGEAR for the past 6 years to conduct all my editing work and gaming and what a mistake for me to choose 2021 as the year I chose to hop on back to the desktop train πŸš‚

PC parts prices has been steadily climbing thanks to the ongoing crypto mining boom and I was lucky that I manage to snag a used PC for quite a bargain before all hell break loose πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

But me being a tinkerer, obviously I wouldn't just buy and use the computer like any ordinary folks, the PC I got used was bling-ed up with rainbow puke RGB fans and some questionable RAM stick in a SINGLE channel configuration, and the case is hella huge as well...I almost can fit my wife's dog inside the case and still have all the components inside πŸ˜‚

So here I present to you, my first small form factor build ~

Introducing the Exway Flex with the Riot V2 drivetrain!

The Flex is the latest electric skateboard from the Chinese esk8 brand – Exway board

This is Exway’s first time experimenting with the split enclosure setup for esk8 as their previous boards (X1 & X1 Pro) are both using the stealthier approach by building the battery and electronics into to the deck.

The board uses the β€˜Super Flex Deck’ that has built in wheel well to accommodate bigger size wheels to prevent wheel bite so you can fit even the bigger 120mm Cloudwheels without any issue!
It is also made by alternatingly combining multiple layers of fiberglass and bamboo to create a super-tough and springy deck.

The Flex uses the 2nd gen Exway 85mm wheels that are made from a softer 76a duro polyurethane with 90% ultra-high-rebound rate providing the perfect balance between ride cushioning and durability.

What the Flex brought over from their bigger brother – the X1 Pro is the ability to swap the drivetrain between Hub and Riot.
While the hub motor drivetrain provides greater ground clearance and quieter ride, the Riot drivetrain has more torque and has multiple pulley options to allow swapping of all 4 wheels.

Last but not least, the app!
The Exway app has few tricks up its sleeve, allowing you to set the ride mode for different skill level riders and to enable the TURBO function for more experienced riders.
You also have the option to choose the wheels size for more accurate speed and distance estimation,
activate cruise control, change gears while moving, enable Free Mode and more.

A high-performance, feature-packed electric skateboard by the brand - Exway !
