First attempt at star trails. Not exactly the desired outcome nor the best location in the hemisphere but cherished the experience and learnings gained! Spent 3 hours out in the open in the Annapurna Himalayas with subzero temperatures... where pressing a button or turning a dial can be be a nightmare for the stiff frozen fingers. On the foreground are the Nilgiri Himal peaks, 7061m at the highest peak (Nilgiri North)

With vast arrays of landscapes across the plateau- views at an average elevation of 4000m; Tibet is isolated, mystical & simply breathtaking befitting James Hilton’s description of an utopia in Shang-ri La. A land that can move the soul. It’s been a couple of years since I’ve set foot on this land, and yet the memories are vivid and the connections are deep. I hope to see this land again in this lifetime... I pray that i will !

Every year inhabitants of the Reting Monastery take time off from intense studies to entertain nearby villagers with dance performances depicting major events in the Mahayana Buddhist literatures. Watching them practice for the event was a sight to behold. Felt blessed.
