Toshiba CV60 Elevator & TA Series Escalators at Eden Parade.
Finally have the chance to step there again & managed to take these in photo form after 6 years of only filming video form there.
Pic 1-4: Elevator. Just your ordinary 1990s Toshiba elevator, not sure if the HOP is original like Mid Valley Megamall elevators when completely original, or ordinary plastic panel, but the buttons are definitely replaced to Mashiba stainless steel around late 2000s-early 2010s.
Pic 5-7: Escalators. There are 4 of them, all of them are defunct for a very long time, even before COVID. There is no hope that these will work again. This kind of 1990s Toshiba escalators are very rare in Malaysia, unfortunately the other known installations in Penang (IINW all of them are with red handrail) which are Gleneagles Hospital Block B has since been replaced by Fujitec & Bangunan Lip Sin which have 2 single file escalators were removed since around 2018.

Sigma Elevator, Escalators & Travellators at Amanjaya Mall.

While going back to college this time from home, l'm stopping at Sungai Petani again as a rest stop, and get to go to this mall for the 1st time ever this time.

Pic 1-5: Elevator (Iris)

A basic late 2000s-early 2010s Dalian Sigma elevator. Interestingly, it has a button beep while floors are pressed like Di series as most Iris don't have button beep. This is the only passenger elevator found in the mall, not sure if there are any service elevators hidden in the loading bay area. This should be one of the last Iris ever due to the opening year based on the opening certificate. Considering the size of the mall, it's better to have 2 passenger elevators instead of 1 because it is busy but not like Queensbay back home.

Pic 6-7: Travellators (SET)

There are a pair of them at each end, serving G-1 & vice versa. The landing plate feels so cheap that I can tell it's made by Dalian Sigma (same as escalators). I only film a pair of them.

Pic 8: Escalators (Vera)

There are also a pair of escalators each end, serving 1-2 & vice versa. One pair of them is located after the U turn of the travellators, one of them is located nearby the karaoke & bowling alley which is a little bit far from the travellators of that end. I also film only a pair of them too.

(Continuation) AAP (Aolida AEP300) Elevator at Urban Inn Changlun.

Have the chance to go outing from college & not coming back to Penang for a week for the first time , completely alone . So, I decided to go to the Coffee Bean nearby to do my assignments. Since it's near the hotel, I decided to check the status of the elevator there as when I stayed there a month ago, it was not working. Finally, I managed to check by myself today & it's finally working. I found out it is distributed & rebranded by AAT Elevator. It uses Monarch Control since it's playing Kenny G's Going Home inside. Quite a small elevator which is affordable for a (not-so) budget hotel chain, but the indicator is slightly mimicking KONE's latest LCD indicator (like the replacement units in Plaza Low Yat) to me, even with capacity stated inside too (it has a capacity badge but the numbers are rubbed off)

KONE MonoSpace Elevator at Stay 365 Hotel.

A basic late 2010s KONE MRL elevator with red square KDS 300 fixtures in a budget hotel in Changlun. It uses the older British voiceovers & the cab is quite reflective for me. The receptionist is just located opposite the entrance (the entrance directly to the stairs from outside is locked), I waited for her to enter the toilet for some time so I could film it safely.

(Continuation) Toshiba (Mashiba) R3100 Elevators at Anson Cube.

I didn't expect to go there again after 4 years! The maintenance changed from MS, then Wiitrac Elevator & later CE.

Pic 1: Main lift lobby at floors other than 1st floor. The indicators are on the HOP instead on top of the doors.

Pic 2-5: Right elevator. I found out that the left & right elevators have different COP positions (seems like most paired Toshiba elevators are like that) , so I retake the main elevators with the right one as I filmed the left ones back in 2022. The Tonic indicator on top of the doors inside has a glitch while at the 3A floor (4 on buttons), it shows 13A.

Pic 6-9: Service elevator. I only know its existence along with the car elevator some time after I filmed the left main elevator. This is actually quite hidden from the 1st floor, but 1st floor has security sitting behind main elevators during time of filming, so I start from 2nd floor, it's not so hidden anymore The cab is covered by wood & it doesn't serve the basement.

Pic 10: Car elevator (R1800). It is OOS when I went. It is a shuttle car elevator that serves only B & 4.

The outdoor elevator is now declared defunct as it still doesn't work & most likely never turned on once.

Fujitec ZEXIA Elevators at 22 Macalisterz.

Some mid-high rise Indian made (based on the indicator & capacity badge style like PWCC) Fujitec elevators at a serviced apartment. These have rare white indicators & square buttons. There are 3 dedicated floor buttons position at the COP & handicapped panel which is quite unique, 1 section for facilities floors, 1 section for car park floors & the last section for room floors (which are keycarded). The service elevator has typical orange indicators instead, but I found out it is behind a keycarded door from the 1st floor, I didn't check the rest of the public floors but room floors should not be behind keycarded doors, so I didn't film it.

The last 5 pics show the food dumbwaiter at the brand new UO Shin part which is a brand new Japanese restaurant that I have my 18th birthday dinner. The scenic design makes it interesting for a dumbwaiter.

OTIS Gen2 Regen Elevators at Icon City.
In this commercial district of Bukit Mertajam area, all of the shop lots are equipped with an OTIS Gen2 Regen Elevator.
Pic 1-4: Normal solid elevator. There are dozens of them in this commercial area, with the almost 100% same configuration, with UI 2 indicator, so I film one of the typical ones only.
Pic 5-9: Scenic elevator. In the commercial lot where the tenants are Starbucks & Iconic Worldwide, it has an elevator which differs from the others as it is bigger than the others, being scenic & serves another floor higher which is 3. I believe the commercial lot which VES took over the whole building also serves up to 3, but the door behind the elevator is keycarded.

OTIS Gen2 Regen Elevators at Iconic Hotel Penang.
Back in Penang for a few days for some matters. Some late 2010s Xizi OTIS elevators located at the hotel at Icon City. Outside has hall indicators on top of doors & on HOP, quite interesting setup. 2nd floor has a different indicator which is segmented on the HOP but hall indicators are the same. Inside has UI 10 LED indicators similar to Birch Regency & M Mall O2O. They play Fur Elise while moving. Floors starting from 8 & above are keycarded.
I also filmed the commercial district elevators which will be included in a separate post later.

(OOS or Defunct?) Toshiba TOPS Elevators at Kolej Matrikulasi Kedah (KMK).

Orientation week has finished! I found 3 elevators at the college itself, but none of them are working. IIRC, according to the academic talk during the orientation week, these are turned off due to safety concerns & being old (23 years old now to be exact). Would love to see them finally working one day if possible as it improves accessibility to disabled students.

Pic 1-4: Pustaka. This building includes the library & ko op mart. It only serves 2 floors while others are 3 floors. According to a notice, this has already suspended its operations since 2016, but the COVID notice from 2020 on the doors (also applies to Bangunan Seri Jerai) feels familiar, quite ironic. Not really sure if this operation suspension applies to the other 2 elevators tho. The supervisory panel is located inside the library. On the final day of the orientation, I saw it having a poster added about being temporarily OOS with an elevator with a Fujitec like hall indicator but it's somehow suspicious.

Pic 5-6: Lab & Tutor Room. This is where students conduct their classes other than dewan kuliah. When I explored it for another time, I saw the lights open at the cab (hmm...) when the doors were closed. I was about to take a picture deep inside it, but my phone ran out of battery so no deeper photo of a small glimpse of the cab.

Pic 7: Bangunan Seri Jerai. This should be the lecturer's office part, nearby serambi & admin's cafe.

(OOS) Aolida AEP300 Elevator at Urban Inn Changlun.
This is the brand new hotel of Changlun I stayed at before heading to college. 
Aolida is a generic elevator company from Hangzhou, China established in 1993. Despite being from Hangzhou, it is not related to Xizi although sounds like it. A new generic brand I discovered. When I see the HOP fixtures at first glance at the 1st floor, it seems like it is a Shanghai Mitsubishi, but when I went up to the top floor which is the 2nd floor, the MRL cabinet is separated unlike Mitsubishi's (including Shanghai version) unique feature of MRL cabinet hidden in top floor HOP, so it's not, but the brand is stated on the MRL cabinet. Unfortunately, it is not working yet despite the hotel having opened since November 2025, but I believe it will be turned on a few months later.
