We will miss the beauty of Villa Blanca Reef. Today we are returning to the States to care for an aging parent. After 20 years of living overseas, it is time to head back to our own nation. But we'll be back to dive as often as possible in Cozumel, which has been our home for the past 18 months!

I started diving in 2013 and fell in love with the sport immediately. I loved videoing the underwater world for the first few years. A GoPro is a great way to get underwater videos! Now I’m in love with underwater photography. It’s fun to always be on the hunt for some macro life and to watch fish doing their normal activities. Marine life can so be colorful and many have intricate designs on them created by the fingertips of God. Others are just plain weird looking, such as stonefish, devil walkman scorpions, neck crabs, etc. But they were created by God for a purpose and very interesting to find.

Another reason I love scuba diving and underwater photography are to show people the amazing underwater world and encourage them to try diving. The ocean and seas are slowly being destroyed by pollution--plastic among the worst offender. Somehow we must reduce our single plastic use and take recycling seriously. I also hope people will become aware of the horrible practices many nations are doing--such as killing sharks by the millions for shark fin soup. Slaughtering whales. Overfishing. All of these issues must be tackled before it is too late.
