Mangroves store more carbon than any other terrestrial forest and yet, we’re destroying them 3 times faster than any rainforests on Earth.

Almost nobody is funding their protection.

wellbeingscharity is collaborating with some of the most capable and dedicated scientists in the field to approach mangrove deforestation. They need our help to spread awareness and Invite people to fundraise their efforts.

This issue is extremely underrated across the climate crisis scenario and its collateral impact in other codependent ecosystems. Theres hope…but never enough time.

The future of animals, people and planet is in our hands. Always.

Last April I got the chance to work with wellbeingscharity this time documenting their “Save the Mangroves, Save the Ocean” campaign in collaboration with H. Lavity Stoutt Community College

What impressed the me most was meeting the people behind this work. They’re truly fighting to protect these extraordinary trees that most of us overlook and yet, mangroves store more carbon than any terrestrial forest and we’re destroying it 3x faster than any other forest in Earth.

I wanted to capture the urgency, the impact, and the humans driving it forward so I could create awareness that’ll reach more people that want to be part of this campaign

Tomorrow (July 23) I’m releasing a 2-minute documentary that was one of the most rewarding pieces I’ve ever made.

Sharing it first at WESTLAND IMPACT FESTIVAL.

Step 1: Listen to them. Truly.

That’s it.

The only thing I ask of my clients is brutal honesty. How they feel, what makes them insecure, and most importantly, what they want to feel after this shoot.

My job is to make them feel like that version of themselves, not to take ‘nice photos’.

When someone feels genuinely heard, the shoot takes care of itself. They lead with their energy, not your direction. Sure, you suggest, you guide…but the soul of the shoot comes from them. That’s why making them feel listened to and safe is your one and only priority if you want authentic, editorial portraits.

More than a photoshoot this is a psychological process.

And I’m so grateful you let me into your world today trusted me to see it, hold it, and respect it.

Can’t wait to show you what we made. I promise you’re not ready.
