New blog post is live on The Bama Lens Journey! 📸

"A Tale of Two Trips: Chasing the Light at Kinlock Falls" — two separate visits to Kinlock Falls deep in the Bankhead National Forest. Trip one was a mid-morning scramble that almost ended up in the trash. Trip two meant setting a 3:00 AM alarm and driving through the dark to catch the very first light of dawn.

"Autaugaville's Golden Sea"

I came across this field on a late summer drive through Autauga County and had to pull over. Thousands of sunflowers, all turned toward the same light. Alabama has a way of surprising you when you're not looking for it.

That's exactly why I keep the camera close on long drives. 📸

I ran across this Oakleaf Hydrangea at sunrise along the trail to Kinlock Falls a few weeks ago. I had to stop and take a closer look. It's now available as part of my Floral Collection on the webbsite.
