Fab itinerary!!

Grandeur of the Seas 4.18.26 to 4.23.26:

We've had a great cruise making memories... but this ship 🚢 is definitely showing her age in wear and tear! I know many love Lady G, but she is my least favorite of the three in this class I have sailed- the crew were great though!

Tampa was easy, as usual- onboard by 10:15.

Mom enjoyed the Solarium, MDR food 🥗 was decent- we were in good hands with Mark & Marisol at table 608, Chops 🥩 was fantastic both nights- Jaromy took great care of us, and the evening shows have been enjoyable- do not miss Tango Buenos Aires!

Once onboard we were notified the ship excursion we booked for Cozumel, Roots Beach, was canceled due to low sales... so we headed to the Excursions Desk to pick something else. We went with a relatively new Beach Club called Kuza, and decided on the VIP package thinking it wouldn't be a crowded area of the beach. Apparently everyone else had the same idea 🤣 Great new property on a beautiful stretch of ⛱️ beach! Service was good, as was lunch and drinks. The property offers a water park and zip lining, I assume at an additional cost.

Originally I booked an OV on deck 4, but upgraded to a Spacious OV on deck 7 when prices dropped. Balcony & Suite pricing never dropped, and the substantial bids we placed were not accepted- it is a nearly sold out ship with 2067 passengers. You may remember I loved our deck 8 Spacious OV on Rhapsody last month... the SOV on Grandeur is nice, but not in as good shape and the storage isn't laid out as well. And that odd 🪟 window has my OCD in a tizzy 🤪 Location was great with next to no noise.

Today is a Sea Day and the 🌊 water is rough- outdoor deck 10 has been closed since I went up at 7am and many are sick. I'm enjoying the casino 🎰

Back to reality tomorrow... next cruise isn't until June 😯

Rhapsody Log 3.7.2026:

Today we said goodbye to Rhapsody after an absolutely lovely week - disembarkation was easy and organized. We grabbed a yogurt and iced latte from Café Latte-tudes while waiting for our number to be called.

We were off the ship at 7:50 - gathered our luggage, breezed through customs, made the walk to the parking garage, and were on the road by 8:15.

Our final dinner was at Giovanni's Table, again delicious - service felt a bit disorganized during every visit, but nothing to complain about.

Overall, this wasn't our favorite ship... but the week was next to perfect. We wouldn't hesitate to book the Rhapsody again.

Rhapsody Log 3.5.2026, Sea Day:

Another uneventful sea day, just how we like 'em!

Chops was for dinner - be sure to ask for Nicholas, he will take great care of you!

The evening show was Pure Country.

As I've mentioned before, when booking a stateroom, we now let the math decide... balconies haven't been a requirement in twenty or so cruises. Pricing has gotten a bit out of hand, so we book what makes financial sense, and I monitor pricing daily; if prices drop, I call to upgrade. Pricing for this cruise never dropped.

We've only bid a handful of times, but have done very well... because location (and potential noise) isn't something we worry about, I went ahead and placed a few bids - again, doing the math to make sure a winning bid would secure a discounted rate that made sense. We received notification our bids were unsuccessful two days before sailing.

I really enjoyed category 1M Spacious Ocean View, #8542. The cabin felt a bit narrow, but storage was sufficient and the view was fantastic. As a long time contributing member of www.cruisedeckplans.com, I researched the cabin location and floorplan as we like the sofa near the entrance; the 'Cabin Check' tool is useful for those that want to avoid potential noise from public venues above or below the cabin you are considering. The smoking section is above this stateroom, and smokers are late to bed and early to rise - you will have noise. Also, the music from the Centrum can be heard, even when the hallway door is closed in the evening... if you are sensitive to noise, I do not recommend this stateroom.

Rhapsody Log 3.4.2026, Belize:

This was my fourth visit to Belize - previous cruises I hired a driver (TripAdvisor) for a City tour, took a puddle jumper (Tropic Air) to Ambergris Caye, and did a ship excursion to Rendezvous Caye.

This time we wanted a chill day to enjoy the sun with a water 🏝 view... so when I noticed the ship excursion 'Kayab Caye Island Escape' drop to $50, I booked it.

Our previous ship excursion in Belize left directly from the ship - not this time. We had to tender (roughly 15 minutes) to Belize City then jump on another boat (roughly 25 minutes) to head to the Caye (formerly known as Starfish Island).

We were the first of two groups (roughly 80 people total) that spent the day on the Caye - wouldn't want to be in group two as there were no loungers for them until our group left an hour after they arrived.

There was a DJ... blow up water floats, full bar, and 🍔 food for purchase. I thought food and drinks were expensive - our drinks (Panty Ripper🤦‍♀️and Rum Punch) were STRONG and yummy, we didn't try any of the food.

We would definitely book this excursion again at the $50 price.

Dinner was 🍤 Izumi, John took great care of us again.

We missed the evening show with musical artist Bryan Cheatham 😒

Enjoyed a lazy day onboard... as did many others.

Another delicious dinner @ Giovanni's Table followed by the evening show, Piano Man.

Rhapsody Log 3.2.2026, Cozumel:

We tried a new spot... Del Mar Latino Beach Club Cozumel!

Del Mar Latino Beach Club is a pleasant 5 minute walk from the International 🛳 Pier - exit the terminal and walk left.

The club was immaculate and offered exceptional service (thank you, Francisco), strong 🍹 drinks, and good food.

The club does not sit on a beach, but there is water access via stairs - I was told the snorkeling 🐠 is good.

Dinner was delicious - I could dine in Chops every night of our cruise (and we have 😂).

We missed the Love and Marriage show 😔
