Audlow Makonyola has officially signed a two-year contract to become the Head Coach of Karonga United, stepping in to replace Oscar Kaunda, who has left the club.

After finalizing the agreement, Makonyola expressed his excitement about joining the team, stating, “I have come to a good side, and I will ensure that the team performs well.” Reflecting on the team's previous performance, where the team finished 6th in the 2025 season, he added, “As Head Coach, my aim for the 2026 season is to lead the team to a top 4 or even top 3 finish.”

CEO Ramzy Simwaka welcomed Makonyola to the club, announcing that the executive board has set a goal for him to win at least one cup this season.

Before his appointment at Karonga United, Makonyola had a successful stint with Mitundu Baptist, where he played a pivotal role in securing the team's promotion to the elite league during the 2025 season.
