Had the honor of photographing the legendary Moroccan visual artist, Mokhtar Ghailan (المختار غيلان).
Known as the "King of Colors," his 50+ year journey goes from learning to draw on the streets in the late '60s to making art history from Tangier to London. From painting the first royal portrait of HM King Mohammed VI in 1999 to pioneering 3D street art and eco-sculptures, his legacy is unmatched.
These portraits capture the bold, relentless energy of a true Moroccan cultural icon.
