Sublime cover The Sun ☀️🌙

Just a few more snaps from last night . . . I say ‘snaps’ as these were just shot on my new-ish iPhone 16 Plus.
Who needs a Pro, I say, when you have a real working camera for real work!

The only limit is shooting RAW; this can be done with Adobe Lightroom Mobile but not through phone itself.

On that note, back to some editing of a stunning shoot I did recently with Melissa e y e s u p c r e a t i v e. In my happy place, working on the post-production. More to follow . . .

Congrats to Dave Livingstone , who has been promoted to Head Chef at The Parsons Table 🥂

It was such a pleasure photographing Dave as well as some of the restaurant’s seasonal dishes for Liz and Lee. They couldn’t have been more accommodating, even during live service, and my thanks also to the customers who kindly let me quietly weave in amongst you! 😍

The Parson’s Table is so much at the heart of Arundel life (having celebrated its 10th anniversary last year), so my approach has been to tell its story through the people, the ambience, the changing seasons and, naturally, the dishes that bring it all together.

Look out for more from this series soon 📸

Looking back at the portrait sessions at The Learning Tree Preschool when - thank goodness - we weren’t all sweltering in the heat! 🥵 In fact, this soft, even light is a gift when you are shooting portraits; no harsh shadows on the faces . . .

Thank you to all the parents who have kindly allowed me to share these few images from the sessions and here’s a few of their kind words.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
‘The shots are wonderful and the size is perfect . . . we will treasure these photos for years to come’

‘Thank you so much for the beautiful photos They have gone down very well with grandparents’

‘Wow the pictures are so lovely thank you so much!’

It’s been really interesting to see the 8 x 6 inch size of print has been popular; it’s a similar dimension to these Instagram shots; large enough to feel special but also not so huge it dominates your mantlepiece!

The gallery will stay open until next Friday, if you’re a parent still deciding 😊

More from the morning’s shoot for the latest Bell edition feature, penned by ; some favourites beyond those that made it into the magazine. I love the way that girl is ‘breaking the fourth wall’ as it were . . . and the serene, focused boy, which felt right for black and white.

Well done to Miss Emily for creating the line of all ages . . .! Quite a challenge to get everyone facing the right way at the right moment!

Have a great weekend, everybody!

A 👋 from behind the camera ahead of this week’s portrait mornings at . This was taken by my lovely friend and local photographer Sophie Sitwell Photography.

A few parents have asked how the sessions work, so I’m just sharing a little more about my approach.

The mornings are designed to feel relaxed and natural, with the aim to capture a sense of play and movement rather than formal, school-style portraits. I’ll usually spend a little time walking around with each child first, letting them settle and explore naturally.

The Gallery will include a small set of images to select from, both in black and white and colour (and available as digitals and / or prints).

Delighted to see so many places are already booked. I’m keeping the sessions intentionally small to make sure there’s enough relaxed one-to-one time with each child.

If you’d still like to reserve a place, the booking link is in the first comment here.

More adorable moments from 2024’s portrait sessions at ✨

Next week’s sessions (13th to 15th May) will take place in this same lovely outdoor area of St Philip’s, so I can capture the children at play rather than in a formal studio set up.

If siblings attend the nursery together, I’ll also try to capture a few photographs of them together during the sessions. To ensure enough time for each child individually, please reserve a place for each child attending.

A number of places are already booked for next week, including some returning families from 2024, which has been fab to see.

If you’d still like to reserve a place, a the booking link can be found via Link In Bio.

Excited to be returning to for a series of portrait sessions on 13–15 May.
Sharing just a few moments from my last visit in 2024. I always aim to keep things completely natural and as far removed from traditional school photography as possible 😍 I’ll be working outdoors as much as I can, keeping everything relaxed and not too structured.
Because the sessions are designed to capture children at play, it’s best to register in advance to ensure your child is included with thoughtful, one-to-one attention.
If you’re a parent at the nursery, you can reserve a place via the link below A number of places are already booked, and it’s been so lovely to see some familiar names — children who have grown up a little since I last photographed them.
After the sessions, I’ll create a small, carefully edited gallery of colour and black & white images, available as digital downloads and prints.Do comment below if you have any questions 👇
