About decisions and expectations.

When in a particular situation someone’s decisions are not what we expected.

Don’t we act from everything together: needs, wishes, feelings, priorities, opportunities, resources...

As I still believe that everything is happening for the best, then this is how it should be, for a reason and everyone’s goodness. Every time when I expected something and it didn’t happen, it reminded me that it is not only “my plan” here.

So I do my best not to expect anything. Of course it’s still hard not to expect 100%, especially when you have an agreement☺️, but I’m working on it too. And I choose to put my attention to wonder what people (incl. me) will do, than to expect🙃.

This may reveal a lot. Through this kind of experiences we may feel and understand what is it for us. Was it that important, can we fix this, can we make it up, or no need and etc.

I’m so happy to be here, on the island... 😄 I enjoy it here and do not miss anything. And do I miss anyone? Sounds like I would miss something or someone to be whole.

Many years ago I could come to the island and be somewhere else in my thoughts, missing someone. But meditation have taught me to focus my attention on “here and now” moment. And I’m happy and grateful to accept things as they are right now.

Because everything that happen is for a reason and for the best, at least in my life. Something pleasant - great and grateful, unpleasant - well, can I change that? The growth, and grateful again!

Rarely, but still, words from my mouth «I miss you» are out. But the real meaning is everything’s great and the only thing that could probably improve the moment is to share this wonderful experience that I’m living with someone close to my heart. So my dear friends «I miss you»!🤗❤️😆☀️ I sincerely want and wish you to enjoy this place as I do!

Who I was often reflecting on while I’m traveling. Is my faithful friend, my love, my Lija. 🐶 We’ve been walking side by side with her for 11 years now, my beloved little creature! My gentle alarm clock in the mornings. But we’ll meet soon.

Why didn’t I take her on a trip? I brought her to the island once, my poor dog, it was a little hot for her, to say the least. And the age, maybe it’s not a good idea for her! That’s why I left her in Riga with my father, they get along great.😁

Conseaquences (2020)

This photo shows rings on the water that originate behind the scenes. The consequences are like a series of events that arose from what happened in the past.
This artwork is about responsibility for actions. Our choices and events always lead to the “rings in the water”. We don't always know what will happen, but it definitely will occur.
Therefore, it is important to make decisions consciously. And make the choice so that your "rings" bring the pleasure of contemplation.

I’ve got an email from the team with the Congratulations! One of the photos I entered has been selected to be featured in the Black & White Photography Awards 2021 Competition Gallery, visible to everyone who visits the website.

The Competition Gallery is a highly curated group of images selected by LensCulture editors to showcase only the best photos from entrants. So this is great news, as not every photograph submitted to the competition is publicly visible on LensCulture. Of course, there are too many submissions for each one to be shown on the site. Whether or not my entry is selected by the editors for display, has no effect on my standing in the competition. The jury’s judgments begin only after the competition deadline has passed.

But still, the joy is in small things! 😁

Dear friends, photographers… if you have the Black & White photo that you want to share you may still be in time to apply for participation in the competition. 🤗

Доброе утро! Мое утро началось с приятных новостей☀️☺️

Я получила письмо от команды с поздравлением!

Одна из фотографий, которые я отправила на конкурс, была выбрана для размещения в галерее конкурса Black & White Photography Awards 2021. Теперь она будет видна всем, кто посещает веб-сайт.

Галерея конкурса - это тщательно отобранная группа изображений, отобранных редакторами LensCulture для демонстрации только лучших фотографий участников, так что это отличная новость. Так как далеко не все фотографии, представленные на конкурс, публикуются на LensCulture.

Конечно, для показа на сайте слишком много фотографий. И выбор моей работы редакторами для показа не влияет на мое положение в конкурсе. Судейство жюри начинается только после истечения крайнего срока подачи работ на конкурс.

Но все же, радость в мелочах!😁

Дорогие друзья, фотографы ... если у вас есть черно-белое фото, которым вы хотите поделиться, возможно, вы еще успеете подать заявку на участие в конкурсе. 🤗

You may find my artworks on online platforms 🙌

The interest in artworks is always a very reverent moment for the artist.

The team of the Japanese platform TRiCERAART found me on Instagram, not long ago. And were interested about my artworks and activities, as well as in listing my artworks on their online gallery. Having studied the offer I applied!

By the way, this process is not just a couple of clicks. I filled out an application form first, and went through their screening process. 
And as a result of careful consideration, their artist recruitment team made a decision and informed me that they are happy to have me on board as their artist!
 
That's not all. Then their team reviewed my artworks and the information I filled in my account. And finally,  after passing the review, I was able to see my artist page on TRiCERA gallery!

So as you can see, everything is pretty serious! I believe that the application may be refused, even if the offer was initiated by their team.

Anyway, now photo artworks of Jelena Belous are represented on the Asian market 😄😍

Thank you for finding me. I am very pleased that we are cooperating.
