Iceland photo dump 🇮🇸 swipe through my favourite moments and places 👉
my favourite hike in northern Iceland. it’s an active geothermal area that’s still steaming and it looks like a volcano erupted here just recently. more in the next slide 👉
the landscape changes sooo much during a 1.5-hour hike. you can literally walk through a steaming lava field. such an insane experience
📍Leirhnjúkur
this museum gives me Rumšiškės in Lithuania vibes. real historic turf houses and inside you can see how Icelanders lived in the past. 100% worth visiting
📍Glaumbær Turf Farm & Museum
this is how traditional bread in Iceland is baked. find a steaming hot field, put the bread in a hole, seal it and come back 24 hours later to find it perfectly baked. it has a smoky flavour, of course. very tasty ✨
went to this lagoon and it was sooo good. half the price of the famous Blue Lagoon, much less crowded and just such a nice place
📍Earth Lagoon Mývatn
and then there are places like this. it’s a wild hot spring where you can take a dip. since it’s completely natural, there are no safety features, so the most important thing is not falling 30 metres down the cliff into the ocean 🤪 still loved it
somewhere on top of the mountain. this is a historic road through the mountains that leads to Siglufjörður. no regular cars use it anymore since there’s a shorter asphalt road, but it’s a really fun place to hike
there’s always an audience watching you hike in Iceland 🐏
just some insane colours near Mývatn
in Iceland everything is photogenic so don’t mind 100 landscape photos
on these cliffs, one of the most famous things in Iceland is hiding 👉
puffins 🥹 found so many of these beauties here. and this place isn’t very well known, so you can just enjoy bird watching almost completely alone 🐧
📍Öxarfjörður - point of view
haters will say it’s AI. but it’s just Iceland 🇮🇸
