මවු ඇකයේ පටන් දිවියේ ලොබ බඳින
බහු­තර දේම මිරි­ඟුව හා සැරි­ස­රන
කටු­කම සත්‍ය මත පම­ණක් දිවි ගෙවන
පහසු නොවන විට තම දිවි තොර කෙරෙන

උදක් රෝස මල් යහ­නා­වක් ම නොවී
කෙටිම නිමේ­ස­ය­කින් දිවි වෙනස් වෙවී
පුංචිම පුංචි දෙය­කින් නිති සතුට පෙවී

තත්පර, පැය, දවස් ගෙවෙනතෙක් සිටියේ
කථා කරන‍ට මා නුඹ එනතෙක්
දන්නවා නම් නුඹ මේ ජීවිතයේ
බලා හිදපුකල් මා නුඹ එනතෙක්....

අරුණලු නැගෙන හිමිදිරි උදයේ
අවදිවන්නේ නුඹේ සිහියෙන්
රෑ වී නින්දට වැටෙනුයේ
නුඹ හා ගෙවු මතකයෙන්....

සුළං පොදක් ඇඟ දැවටෙනුයේ
නුඹේ උණුසුම මවමින් වුවත් හද‍ට
හැමදාමත් දෑස අගින් දිස්වෙනුයේ
වැටෙන කඳුලකි නුඹ නැති වියෝවට....

නිහඬව හෙලපු මේ සුසුම් පොදියේ
බර වැඩිය දැන්නම් මෙම‍ට
අද දිනයවත් ඇති නම් නුඹේ මතකයේ
සනසවන්න‍වත් එනු මැන මේ හිත අද්දරට...
