Making history in the Hill Capital. ⛪🎶

For the very first time, the Music Ministry Choir traveled to Kandy to conduct a special Sunday evening service at the majestic St. Anthony's Cathedral. Titled "A Harmonious Journey of Faith and Worship," the night was a moving testament to the power of sacred music.

Under the direction of Ishan de Lanerolle and accompanied by the masterful Neranjan de Silva on the organ, the choir filled the cathedral with soaring melodies and praise. It was a privilege to capture this significant moment of worship and community.

Pure havoc at the Main Sports Bar! 🤘🔥

On the 7th of February, the Sri Lankan heavy metal titans Stigmata brought their "Symphonic Havoc" show to life, and it was every bit as intense as promised. The night kicked off with a powerful set from Man Till God (sadly, I missed the openers Bandzee, but the energy was already through the roof by the time I arrived!).

A unique highlight of the night was the official launch of the collaborative hot sauce range between Gaiya’s Hot Kitchen and Stigmata. With sauces named after some of the band’s biggest hits, it was a literal way to taste the fire of their music. 🌶️🎸

Here’s a look at the chaos, the crowd, and the pure metal energy from the night.

IDL, Clouds by SOZO and the Rukmini Tissanayagam Trust Partner with the HSBC Ceylon Literary & Arts Festival 2026 to Celebrate Sri Lanka’s Creative Voice.
The HSBC Ceylon Literary & Arts Festival 2026, taking place from 13 to 15 February at Cinnamon Lakeside, Colombo, promises to be one of those rare cultural moments that linger long after the last session ends. It is a gathering not only of writers, artists and thinkers, but of ideas, shared, challenged and celebrated in spaces where curiosity feels welcome.
The HSBC Ceylon Literary & Arts Festival 2026 is supported by several organizations through non-promotional CSR initiatives, including Clouds by SOZO and the Rukmini Tissanayagam Trust. International Distillers Limited contributes in a strictly neutral CSR capacity, providing logistical and resource support for the event without any brand promotion or product visibility.
The Festival celebrates Sri Lanka’s creative voice by showcasing literature, arts, and cultural talent from across the country. All supporting organizations participate solely in a philanthropic and educational role, ensuring that the focus remains on artistic expression and community engagement.
The Rukmini Tissanayagam Trust brings to the Festival a deep and enduring commitment to nurturing literature and the arts as essential pillars of society. Its work is driven by the belief that creative spaces are not optional additions, but vital platforms that shape how communities think, feel and engage with the world around them.
Speaking on this collaboration, Indhu Selvaratnam, Director of SOZO Beverages and Trustee
of The Rukmini Tissanayagam Trust, stated, “The Rukmini Tissanayagam Trust is delighted to partner with the Ceylon Literary Festival for the second time. We are deeply committed to enriching Sri Lanka’s intellectual and cultural landscape and admire the festival’s evolution in embracing literature, art, music, and initiatives that nurture emerging local talent. These efforts align closely with the Trust’s mission to support creative expression, and we look forward to continuing our support as the festival strengthens Sri Lanka’s global cultural presence.”
Adding a complementary dimension to this partnership is Clouds by SOZO, Sri Lanka’s premium mountain spring water brand, whose ethos of purity, sustainability and thoughtful living aligns naturally with the spirit of the Festival. Sourced from a pristine spring in the Knuckles mountain range, Clouds represents a return to authenticity, an idea that resonates strongly within creative and cultural spaces.
Speaking on the partnership, Dushyantha De Silva, Founder of SOZO Beverages (Pvt) Ltd, said, “The arts invite us to slow down, to observe, and to think more deeply, and Clouds comes from that same place of intention. Supporting the HSBC Ceylon Literary & Arts Festival is about being part of a space where ideas flow freely and thoughtfully. It’s a privilege for us to align with a platform that values creativity, dialogue and conscious choices.”
The HSBC Ceylon Literary & Arts Festival 2026 offers something increasingly rare: three uninterrupted days of ideas. Of language and imagination. Of conversations that do not require a screen to feel alive. It is a reminder of the power of gathering, of listening, discovering and engaging with perspectives that challenge and inspire.
As February approaches, the hope is simple: that more people choose to attend, to listen, and to support Sri Lankan creativity in all its forms. Because when a country invests in its writers and artists, it is not merely celebrating talent, it is shaping how it remembers, how it questions, and how it evolves.

A night of firsts and soulful melodies. 🎤✨

I had the pleasure of capturing "An Evening with Amarsha Tissera", a landmark moment marking her first-ever full-length solo show. It was a beautiful display of artistry, featuring a perfectly balanced setlist of five original songs and a selection of curated covers that truly showcased her range.

Watching a performer step into the spotlight for their debut solo show is always special, and Amarsha’s performance was nothing short of captivating.

A massive thank you to Dilanjan Seneviratne and the team at Outright Play for inviting me to shoot this incredible evening and for always supporting the local music scene.

Redefining the modern groom at the Global Wedding Launch by Hameedia. 💍✨

On the 8th of October 2024, the Envoy Mansion in Colombo became the epicenter of groom’s wear trends. While the runway showcased the pinnacle of wedding elegance, the evening was anchored by a deeper mission: Fashion with a Purpose.

A major highlight was the industry-leading panel discussion moderated by Danu Innasithamby, featuring Fouzul Hameed, Shalin Balasuriya (Spa Ceylon), and Ayesh de Fonseka (Tiesh). Together, they explored the intersection of heritage, grooming, and luxury in the modern wedding landscape.

The event also shone a light on Hameedia’s My Friend initiative, which proudly supports three incredible, independent projects: the Indira Cancer Trust, the Roshan Mahanama Foundation, and the Life Worth project. It was a powerful reminder that true style is measured by the impact we make.

A sky-high showcase of curated luxury. ☁️✨

Day 2 of Colombo Fashion Week: The Luxury Edit moved to the stunning Ahasa restaurant at the new ITC Ratnadipa. With the city and ocean as a backdrop, this was an intimate, limited-access event featuring curated collections from an elite lineup of designers.

The runway saw exquisite pieces from Aslam Hussein, Hameedias, Nikhita-Mynah Designs, Ellamberto, Limak by Kamil, House of Indi, Reynu Taandon, and Tanieya Khanuja. The evening reached its crescendo with a breathtaking finale by Lovi Ceylon, as the audience was serenaded by Yohani at the piano. An unforgettable fusion of architecture, atmosphere, and high fashion.

A masterful conclusion to The Luxury Edit! 🌟✨

The final segment of the night belonged to Indian designer Tanieya Khanuja, who brought her "prêt-à-couture" vision to the Colombo Fashion Week runway. With a distinguished legacy including over fifteen seasons at Paris Fashion Week, her collection was a seamless blend of Eastern craftsmanship and Western precision.

The runway came alive with powerful silhouettes and elegant drapes—designs that celebrate the modern woman with a balance of drama and grace. It was a sophisticated finale that reimagined heritage for the woman who commands both attention and elegance.

Batik, reborn and unapologetically exclusive. 🎨✨

Kamil Hewawitharana pushed the boundaries of tradition with his latest collection for Limak by Kamil at The Luxury Edit. This was a couture narrative where Sri Lankan batik was transformed into a bold, powerful statement of high fashion.

Featuring sculpted silhouettes and intricate artistry, the collection moved seamlessly between the strength of fierce luxury and the softness of ethereal silk and delicate lace. It truly felt like "couture with a heartbeat," designed for the woman who dares to be unforgettable.

Fire took center stage as Indi Yapa Abeywardena presented “Anghara” by The House of Indi. 🌋✨

A fierce study in elemental power, this collection was a breathtaking display of molten energy and sculpted elegance. Drawing inspiration from myth and transformation, the runway was filled with fluid movement, molten metallics, and smoke-kissed textures that shimmered like glowing embers. Each piece echoed the journey of fire—from spark and blaze to ash and rebirth—serving as a powerful tribute to the flame within every woman.

A quarter-century of couture excellence. 🥂✨

Following the segment by Nikhita, the legendary Reynu Taandon took center stage to present her 25th-anniversary couture showcase. It was a luminous study in legacy, where tradition met innovation to create what can only be described as "couture poetry."

Unveiling her collection, “An Evening in Paris,” Reynu transformed Indian artistry into a global language of luxury. The runway was a celebration of timeless sophistication, defined by the hand-embroidered excellence and technical mastery that have made her a mainstay on global runways for two and a half decades.

The next generation takes the lead! 🌿👔

It was the "boys' turn to shine" as Hameedia unveiled its Luxury Earthbound Wedding Collection at The Luxury Edit. This particular collection marks a significant milestone, having been created by Mikail Hameed, son of Fouzul Hameed, representing the future of this iconic Sri Lankan label.

The collection is a profound study in harmony, where nature meets refinement. Rooted in the quiet beauty of the earth, the runway was filled with warm sand, soft clay, greens, and rich cocoa tones. Crafted from premium sustainable fabrics and enriched with nature-inspired embellishments, it’s a moment where wedding couture becomes true emotion.
