🇯🇵 Japan Population Decline Impacts Rural Festival 🇯🇵
Local residents and university students dressed in festival costumes tow a traditional floating cart during the annual Houkabe Shrine Summer Festival at the remote village of Miyanomae on August 04, 2024 in Tambasasayama, Japan. Villagers in the remote mountains of Miyanomae get help from university students to maintain the traditional festival as their village has a small youth population. Population decline and aging in rural Japan has significant impacts on local festivals and the maintenance of their tradition. Japan’s population is about 124 million people of which 29.1% are 65 or older.

Dream of living in a hundred years old house in Japan.
Abandoned a 100-years old house in the countryside and turned it into a light multi-business facility. It is named Tamba Creative HUB.

It is located in the village of Aogaki, which has many abandoned houses. Aogaki is a village that has started to become isolated due to declining birth rates and migration to urban areas.

美しい丹波篠山デカンショ祭が８月１５と１６にあります
ජපාන් ජනතාව මළගිය ඇත්තන්ගෙ අවුරුදු මාසයේ පවත්වන නර්තන උත්සවයකි.
ඔබෝන් (お盆) යනු ජපන් වැසියන් සිය මුතුන් මිත්තන් අනුස්මරණය කිරීම සඳහා වාර්ෂිකව පවත්වන උත්සවයකි, මියගිය මුතුන් මිත්තන්ගේ ආත්මයන් ඔබෝන් සමයේදී තම ඥාතීන් බැලීමට තාවකාලිකව නැවත මෙලොවට පැමිණෙන බව ජපන් වැසියන් විශ්වාස කෙරේ.
සාම්ප්‍රදායිකව, මුතුන් මිත්තන්ගේ ආත්මයට මෙලොවට පැමිණිමට මඟ පෙන්වීම සඳහා නිවෙස් ඉදිරිපිට පහන් (lantern) එල්ලිම සිදු කරනු ලැබේ. මියගිය අයගේ සොහොන් නැරඹීමට යාම, සොහොන් පවිත්‍ර කර ආහාර පූජා කිරීම කරනු ලැබේ. Obon අවසානයේ, ආත්මයන් නැවත ඔවුන්ගේ ලෝකයට යොමු කිරීම සඳහා පාවෙන පහන් ගංඟා, විල් වෙත දමා පාකර යවයි. මෙම සාම්ප්‍රදායාක සිරිත් විරිත් ප්‍රදේශයෙන් ප්‍රදේශයට වෙනස් වේ.
Dekansho-Odori, Japanese folk entertainment dance performance festival is popular as a type of ‘Bon Odori’.
Obon is an annual festival held by Japanese people to celebrate their ancestors. The Japanese believe that the spirits of deceased ancestors temporarily return to earth to visit their relatives during Obon.
