The inauguration ceremony of the Moon Knight Super League 2026 Season 01 was successfully held yesterday, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for cricket in Akkaraipattu.

The celebrations commenced with a spectacular vehicle parade from Global Marketing, Akkaraipattu to the tournament venue, accompanied by the respected franchise owners of the league. The convoy was proudly escorted by the Black Squad, creating an unforgettable atmosphere as the league officially came to life.

The ceremony was presided over by the Director of Moon Knight (Pvt) Ltd., Mr. H. Hadhi Hasan.

The prestigious MSL Championship Trophy was ceremonially brought to the ground by the Directors of Moon Knight (Pvt) Ltd., Mr. M. Mohamed Deedad, Mr. M. A. Adif Saagh, and Mr. N. Saheem Mohamed, together with the respected franchise owners, symbolizing the start of an unforgettable journey.

We were deeply honored to welcome our Chief Guest, Hon. Mayor Mr. A. L. M Athaullah, along with Deputy Mayor Mr. M. A. C. M. Abdul Hayyu. The ceremony was further graced by distinguished members of the Akkaraipattu Municipal Council, the CEO of Pebbles Academy, members of the Akkaraipattu Cricket Board, and many other respected guests whose presence made the occasion even more special.

The traditional Kandyan dancers delivered a vibrant welcome for our guests, adding elegance and cultural pride to the opening ceremony.

This memorable event was made possible through the dedication and hard work of the Moon Knight Super League Season 01 Organizing Committee, our partners, volunteers, and everyone who contributed behind the scenes.
