Huge thanks to Friss Hús for selecting and screening our film, "Somewhere I Call Home".
It was incredibly special to share my version of Budapest with the people who live there. I loved the post-screening bar discussion about how the same streets and spaces can feel entirely different depending on who you are. While our interpretations of the city might vary, the consensus was clear: Budapest is a wonderful place to connect.

Yesterday's KICK ACADEMY workshop was a once again great success!
After so many online sessions, getting together in person to actually operate the cameras and act together was exactly what we needed.

Consider this the perfect warmup for what’s coming next: the 29-second film festival workshop and KoreaON 2026 projects.

🎬 Dear fellow artists, filmmakers, and content creators in Budapest,

I’d like to share an upcoming theater play happening on the 27th (Wed) and 28th (Thu) of this month.

In my early days in Budapest, as a student from Korea who was eager to create, connecting with local artists felt essential, yet often (really) difficult. One time, I was asked to shoot photo and video for a theater play called Everybody. That night ended up being so much more than just a work/cultural night.

Years have passed, and the actors I once admired have become dear friends, great colleagues, and the best people to run into around the city.

What I am saying is, I’m sad I can’t make it their new play, but if you’re free, you should absolutely go.

I am thrilled to announce that our short film, will premiere at the 2026 Friss Hús Budapest Short Film Festival .

The time I spent in the city was more than just studying abroad.
Each silly project I did as a student, the new friends I met from all around the world, and all the moments that inspired me—random conversations, night strolls, even the funny smells on the street—it all became special.

The film is a summary of my ambiguously exciting and mundane five years in Budapest.
All the elements in the film are filled with what Budapest was for me: the locations, the friends, and the strangers.

So I've been really wanting an opportunity for us to watch this film together, in a somewhat childish manner, like a kid wanting an epic birthday party before moving to another town.

So come down to the Puskin on June 1st, I will be in Budaepst as well.

짧고 부담 없으면서도, 동시에 아이디어와 영상 언어의 본질은 챙겨야 하는, 그런 콘셉트가 재미있어서 학생 시절 종종 출품했었던 29초 영화제.
초단편 영화제로 유명한 29초 영화제의 명예홍보대사직을 맡게 되었습니다.
현재 진행하고 있는 영화 교육 프로그램들에, 영화제 출품이라는 재미있는 미션들을 더하고, 이천부터 부다페스트까지, 재미있는 워크숍들을 연계할 수 있는 방법들을 많이 고민해 볼 생각입니다.
방 안에서 혼자, 또는 친구들과 함께 하루 만에 뚝딱뚝딱 만들었던 영상들이 상까지 받으며 느꼈던 그 즐거웠던 경험들을 많이 공유할 수 있으면 합니다.
