I took my 35mm camera to the where Muay Thai articulates combat, tradition, and spectacle as part of Thailand’s national culture.
“The color saturates and spills over; movement breaks form and drags the image with it. Nothing fully settles. The ring and the stands blur into each other: the body that strikes, the one that receives, the one that watches. Meanwhile, I photograph everything. What happens in the ring doesn’t stay there; it spreads, infects with euphoria, echoes in gestures, in shouts, in that energy that runs through the entire place.”

Mientras, yo fotografío todo. Lo que ocurre en el ring no se queda ahí; se desplaza, contagia de euforia, se replica en los gestos, en los gritos, en esa energía que recorre todo el lugar.”
