Miles away from the city’s gleam,
Where a different reality takes stream.
In the heart of villages, green and deep,
A promise of future, we sought to keep.
Few hours from the skyline of city,
Where malls glow and lattes flow,
Lie silent classrooms with broken walls,
Where dreams still bravely grow.
Shoes are torn, uniforms faded,
But smiles? Oh, they’re bright like gold.
Books passed down, and hopes well-worn,
Yet stories waiting to be told.
Their eyes filled with spark so bright,
A hunger for knowledge, a will to fight.
But a piece of paper, a heavy chain, Threatening to wash away all their gain.
Our journey so far, with hearts full of hope,
To lend a hand, and help them cope.
It’s not just a cheque, not just a deed,
But planting a future, a hopeful seed.
A small push, to help them stand tall,
Letting dreams grow beyond the wall.
A reminder that kindness knows no creed,
Just a shared humanity, fulfilling a need.
We met eyes filled with determination,
Children who walk miles just to learn.
Teachers who light candles of invention,
When the world chooses not to burn.
Society’s lines are harshly drawn—
Between privilege and plea, glass and grit.
But maybe, if we all look closer,
We can erase a part of it.
🌱 To those who can’t afford the start,
Let’s help carry them to the finish.
Because education isn’t charity—
It’s a right that should never diminish.
