In 2017 I started a journey in my original home country (Germany), that was unfortunately cut short, due to a lack of necessary funds. At this point in my life (age 76), I want to once again return to where I was born and travel the roads to where my parents were born and lived during their youth. The area I plan to travel (by bicycle), span from the North Sea Coast of Holland and Germany, to the Baltic Coast of Poland, and (if possible) the rest of the area that was once known as East Prussia.

I have been using the Racktime Addit Rear Carrier for 8 years now on my 2012 Specialized Crosstrail Sport Disc, which is fairly heavily modified for long distance and all road touring. The Vaude Aqua Back Plus and Silkroad L trunk bag are fairly recent addition, having been purchased in Oldenburg, Germany in September of 2017, while touring the German North Sea Coast area. This video was shot in Siem Reap, Cambodia, where I am currently working on a (life long) personal photography & publishing project.

Kokoro Tabi is a Japanese TV series that features well known Japanese actor Hino Shohei, traveling around Japan on his bicycle, visiting places and people who have written him a letter about a location he should visit. When arriving at his destinations, he sits down and reads the letter that brought him there. It is not necessary to understand a single word of Japanese, to understand and enjoy the simple beauty of this program. The newest season for the show will start in Spring of 2019.
