Prayer for the First Day of September.

Lord, as we welcome September, I place this new month in Your hands. As we step into another season, go before me in every plan I make, every decision I face, and every place I need to be. May this month bring me closer to You, even in the moments when I do not understand where You are leading me.

Give me the strength to face what lies ahead, the wisdom to know what is meant for me, and the courage to let go of what is not. Protect my heart from unnecessary worries and remind me that I do not have to carry everything on my own. As this new month begins, help me welcome every day with faith and trust Your timing, especially when things feel slow and Your plans do not look like mine.

May September be filled with answered prayers, unexpected blessings, quiet growth, and the kind of peace that only comes from You. And whatever this month brings, let me walk through it knowing one thing: I am not entering September alone. You are already there. Amen.

The power of prayer
"Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”

Prayer is more than simply asking God for what we want. It is an act of surrender, trust, and faith. Mark 11:24 reminds us to believe even before we see the answer, trusting that God hears every prayer and knows exactly what our hearts need. Faith means believing in His power even when circumstances give us every reason to doubt.

Sometimes, the answer does not come immediately. Sometimes God says yes, sometimes He says wait, and sometimes He leads us toward something better than what we asked for. But unanswered prayers are not unheard prayers. God is still working, even in the silence, even in the waiting, and even when we cannot yet see what He is preparing.

So pray boldly, but surrender completely. Ask with faith, wait with patience, and trust with your whole heart. What you place in God's hands is never wasted. Believe that He can, trust that He will, and have faith that whatever His answer is, it will always be rooted in His perfect will.

The path meant for you will never require you to become someone else. What is growing slowly in your life is no less valuable than what seems to bloom quickly in another's.

Peace begins when you stop measuring your journey against someone else's. Life feels lighter when you learn to celebrate your own season, trusting that your time will come in its own beautiful way.

*The Man Made of Iron Sheets*

They laughed when he walked onto the mjengo site wearing clothes stitched from corrugated iron.
"That will rust."
"That will weigh you down."
"That will burn in the sun."

But he knew something they didn't.

Every dent in that iron was a day he showed up.
Every rivet was a bill he paid.
Every patch of rust was a storm he survived and still stood through.

Iron sheets aren't meant for clothes. They're meant for roofs. To shelter families when it rains. To hold up when the wind tries to take everything.

So he wore them to remind himself:
*I am not fragile. I am shelter.*
*I am not temporary. I am structure.*
*I bend, I don't break.*

While others wore cotton and waited for perfect conditions, he worked in metal. Hot days, cold nights, rain or shine. Because people who build the future don't wait for comfort. They become the foundation.

One day the building was done. People moved in. Kids played under the roof. And nobody remembered who mixed the cement.

But he did.
Because he was the man who turned what covers houses... into what covers his own story.

WORRY NO MORE AGAIN GOD IS BESIDES YOU 💟

DOESN'T MATTER HOW MANY SETBACK IN YOUR WAY

Everytime I wonder how I’m going to make it, God shows up.

Just when I feel like I’ve run out of strength, somehow He gives me enough for one more day. When I don’t know what to do next, He makes a way where I thought there was none. It may not happen the way I imagined, but somehow, He always comes through.

There have been so many moments when I thought, “I don’t know how I’m going to get through this.” And yet, here I am. Still standing. Still trying. Still believing. Looking back, I realize that the moments I thought would break me were also the moments God reminded me that I was never carrying everything alone.

So if you’re wondering how you’re going to make it, take a breath. You don’t need to have everything figured out right now. Keep trusting that God is already working in ways you can’t see yet. You’ve made it through every hard day before this one, and I believe God will meet you in this one too.

UAnd maybe the reason why I’m treated like this is because I’ve shown that I’ll stay no matter what. I stayed even when I felt left out. I stayed even when I was only remembered when it was convenient for them. I stayed through the pain. I stayed through the disappointment. I stayed even though I knew I was no longer being valued. I stayed even when I wasn't appreciated. I stayed even when I had to beg for love, time, and effort.

Looking back, I realize how much of myself I gave away just to keep people in my life. I kept making excuses for how I was treated because I was afraid that walking away would mean losing the people I cared about. I didn't notice that while I was trying so hard not to lose them, I was slowly losing myself.

The more I stayed, the more I taught them that they could hurt me and I'd still be there. I thought I was proving how deeply I could love, but all I was really proving was how much pain I was willing to survive. I realized that I had slowly convinced myself that this was the kind of love I deserved.
