πŸŽ“ β€œLeadership is an honour, but it is also a responsibility.”

Speaking during the installation of Prof. John Okumu as the 7th Vice-Chancellor of Kenyatta University, Chancellor Ambassador Dr. Francis K. Muthaura, MBS, EGH, reminded the University community that leadership is a sacred trust built on the dedication and sacrifice of those who came before.

He challenged the new leadership to preserve what works, improve what can be better and create new possibilities for generations to come.

He further called on the KU community to embrace diversity, unity and collective responsibility, emphasizing that excellence in teaching, research and innovation must be renewed every day.

β€œWhy not us?” he challenged, urging Kenyatta University to believe in its capacity to compete with the very best universities globally.

The Chancellor emphasized that the true measure of KU is not the number of certificates issued, but the quality of its graduates, the impact of its research and the solutions it offers to Kenya, Africa and the world.

If we want to go far, we must go together. πŸ’™
