Today’s training brought together the true strength of our community - our elders and our youth. We sat in one room, not to repeat our problems, but to build solutions together.

To our elders: Your wisdom and experience light the path. You remind us where we came from and guide us on where to go.

To our youth: Your energy and ideas move us forward. You carry the hope of tomorrow and the power to act today.

As refugees, we face many matters - documentation, education, livelihoods, unity. But today proved one thing: no challenge is bigger than a community that talks, listens, and works together.

Let this be more than a meeting. Let every idea shared today become a step toward a better tomorrow for all of us.

What We Do in Our Media Course
We don’t just study media - we create it.

At Home of champions, our Media course is hands-on from day one. Our students learn by doing, not just reading notes.

1. Film & Video Production
Students write scripts, direct scenes, shoot, and edit real projects. In this photo you can see them running a full film set - camera operator on tripod, sound recordist monitoring audio with headphones, director guiding actors. We teach them storytelling through visuals.

2. Sound & Broadcasting
They learn how to record clean audio, use boom mics, edit podcasts, and run live interviews. That’s why you see students with headphones - they’re trained to capture sound that matches the picture.

3. Photography & Editing
From portrait shoots to event coverage, students master camera settings, lighting, and editing. We train them to tell stories with a single photo, just like they tell stories with video.

4. Graphics & Digital Media
Students design posters, social media content, and animations. The mural on the wall? That’s the kind of visual creativity we encourage - blending art with communication.

5. Field Practice
Classroom → Real world. We take students to shoot documentaries, community stories, school events, and local talent. Every project builds their portfolio for jobs in TV, radio, online media, and film.

Our Goal: Graduate students who can walk onto any set and know their job. Director, cameraman, sound tech, editor - we train all-round media professionals who are Together for Humanity through storytelling.

Today we had NVC Training with youth from the community

NVC - Nonviolent Communication is communication with compassion. It doesn’t teach us to avoid conflict. It teaches us how to speak so no one’s heart gets broken in the process.

What happened today:
We sat together — young people and elders. We practiced listening without interrupting. We laughed, we owned our mistakes, and we learned to apologize for real. The screen said "Empathy" — but we wrote it in our hearts.

In today’s training we learned 4 key steps:
1. Observation- Speak facts without blame. Instead of "you’re always late", we say "I saw you came in at 3pm".
2. Feelings - Name our emotions. "I feel angry" instead of "you made me angry".
3. Needs- Understand what we all need. Respect, peace, to be heard.
4. Requests - Ask instead of demand. "Can you help me?" instead of "do this now!"
