Japan’s summer is not all about the heat and humidity but it’s the time of the most amazing festivals, with numbers estimated to be anywhere from 100,000 to over 300,000 nationwide.

Flew to and drove hours in the storm to the outskirt of Shakotan Peninsula, in a small town of Fubira to photograph the local festival.

My job is to capture the amazing moments in Japan. Even in the most rural, the most outskirts of Japan. Waiting in the storm, heat, snow, cold and having faith in your camera coz you will only have that “one shot” that tells the story.
