Nagato sensei in a break at Honbu expressed some wonderful Kuden 口伝 ( oral teachings ).

Sôke never quantified or put conditions on the money, time and effort he spent studying Budô. As soon as you do, you are attracting loss. The idea of ‘Give and Receive’ is unconditional. The more a person invests into something with a true heart, the universe will listen and return ( in its own time ) accordingly.
This is why one must naturally understand the virtue of patience and never give up.
Like Buddhist monks who sit quietly to achieve enlightenment, martial artists must also just shut up and train!
