Kyoto was my favorite part of our Japan trip. I was very excited to climb the Fushimi Inari Taisha. We woke up 4 am to be there before sunrise . It was such an iconic shrine - sometimes a bit eerie.

Not everyone went to the top, we saw many groups returning before reaching the summit.

In total, we might have walked close to 20 km. Going through so many Torii gates, seeing the smaller shrines tucked along the trail, the fox statues watching every passerby, it was like a dream. A dream where I visit many of the animes and games I love.

It makes sense it being such a popular tourist spot. It’s not just a walk around the mountain, it’s something older and sacred. The energy around everything has a lot of power.

I will definitely go again, maybe a night walk next time.

Finally posting more photos from our visit to the .

I’ve mentioned before, but learning about the culture, history, and rituals behind everything Sumo was awesome. We had Roman and Asamitani as the wrestlers of the day and it was peak entertainment! They were great and very kind!

If you’re anywhere near Asakusa, please pay them a visit. I’m definitely adding a few Sumo stops on my next Japan trip.

Kyoto, Japan

Something I kept noticing was how “lively” the rooftops in Japan are.

I’ve fell in love with so many details. Not only near big temples or shrines, many regular houses had something that would catch our eyes.

Comparing to what I’m used to in Brazil and Australia made me feel like I was in a painting, or some Ghibli movie left the screens and came out to say hello.

Was I in love with every single thing in Japan? Yes. Did I fulfill a childhood dream? Absolutely. But it was so much more. Seeing a culture so different than mine, from toes to rooftops, haha, just makes me fall head over heels about how amazing people can be.

Some photos of the Macaques in Arashiyama, near Kyoto.

There’s a bit of a walk and, honestly, it is steeper than expected. They say 20 min from the entrance, but it felt like 5.5 hours.

It was autumn, but I was sweating. We stopped halfway through take my jacket off - not to catch a breath - and a group of “senior citizens” walked past us, as if we were going down instead of uphill.

Cool, cool, cool…

We get to the top and there are heaps of them playing and jumping around. Which is pretty cool - and a tiny bit scary, cuz , hey, they’re wild.

The view over Arashiyama is breathtaking with the red and yellow leaves of autumn. Luckily we decided to check the Monkey Park. It was an awesome experience!

Just posting some pics from our trip to Japan. It’s been a while, but I finally managed to edit a few.

This was one of the coolest experiences we had in our trip. We were expecting great entertainment, but we also learned so much about the Sumo culture and geishas. We left in awe, and I’m not ashamed to say we spent quite a bit of cash on their gift shop.

I’m honestly recommending it to everyone I know, !

I have a few photos of the fight, but I’ll post them on a different day.

With work and other commitments, it took me a minute to edit the photos I took at ’s light workshop.

Firstly, I wanted to thank Brodie for the fantastic insights and masterclass and his team, and , for helping out everyone with a smile on their faces! 😬

Secondly, I can’t thank the models , .hamilton.model and enough for their patience with the photographers and for being absolute professionals ready to help out by sharing their knowledge and experience in front of the cameras.

Last but not least, the legends and deserve mention. They came to help me out less than ONE km away when my tyre popped in the rain. Your support was greatly appreciated and made my day 1 thousand times easier and better.

Not only was Brodie’s workshop great, but it was also heaps of fun working with so many incredible photographers. Sharing the space with so many creatives is, indeed, very inspiring.

A big shoutout to for providing a space for all the amazing bands in Perth!

Last Friday, I checked out some of my favourites.

The music was awesome, the beer was on point, and the space was top-notch. I couldn’t have asked for a better night out!

I’ve met last year. I love a good story and real people, so I approached her for some photos and asked if she could share a bit of her world with me.

An immigrant not only following her dreams but also expressing herself, using all her creativity for good, to entertain and to be free.

Most people don’t understand how tricky it is to find something that makes you truly happy. That overflowing love that seeps from your skin. Worse than that is following your passion in a different country, in a foreign language and not so many shoulders to cry on.

Hearing successful stories fills me with inspiration and pride. It’s more than okay to be ourselves, to be like Brenda.

In 2024, I have quite a few photo goals, and I’m glad I can share a photo shoot that I enjoyed.

Thanks, and for being so cool 😬
