One of the most fascinating techniques to work with—and one of the most challenging to master.
Created in complete darkness, light becomes more than illumination. It gently wraps around the subject, revealing only what needs to be seen. The result feels intimate, quiet, and almost otherworldly.
This technique can also be used for bold editorial and high-fashion portraits, creating a striking, dramatic atmosphere. But personally, I’m drawn to a softer direction—something more romantic, mysterious, and timeless.

A little family adventure in yukata 🤍🍃
One of the things I love most about photographing families is creating images that feel calm and intimate—even in places that are full of people.
This session took place around Dazaifu Tenmangu, one of the most visited spots in Kyushu. But instead of focusing on the crowds, we focused on what really mattered: a family of three enjoying a slow afternoon together.
A curious little explorer, beautiful Japanese architecture, quiet green corners, and moments that happened naturally along the way.
That’s the beauty of a photo walk. It’s less about posing and more about spending time together while I quietly preserve those memories.

“We’re really awkward in front of the camera…” ☺️

I hear this almost every session.

The truth is, most of my couples aren’t models. They’re camera shy, a little nervous, and convinced they don’t know how to pose. And that’s completely okay.

My job isn’t just to take beautiful photos—it’s to help you relax, enjoy our time together, and forget about the camera while we wander through some of Fukuoka’s most scenic locations, chasing the best light.

By the end of the session, most couples tell me, “That was actually so much fun!” And that’s exactly how I want you to remember the experience.

A family walk at Ohori Park with the sweetest little explorer 🌿🤍

This is one of my favorite spots in Fukuoka for family sessions with toddlers — easy to access from the city center, spacious, green, and full of quiet corners where kids can simply be themselves.

And if you know where to look, there’s always something blooming through the seasons 🌸

Between the nature, soft light, and the remains of Fukuoka Castle Ruins, the park creates such a beautiful backdrop for natural family memories without feeling too posed or crowded.

The best photos usually happen during simple moments like this — walking, playing, carrying your little one, and enjoying the day together ✨
