Just the two of you, a bottle of Prosecco, Venice around you — and one very good reason to celebrate.

Sometimes the best engagement photographs happen between the planned ones.

A bottle of Prosecco was opened during this Venice engagement session — and the celebration quickly turned into a burst of movement, laughter and flying bubbles.

We photographed the entire sequence in a rapid series of frames, creating this little moving moment from still photographs.

That's one of the things we enjoy about engagement photography in Venice: leaving enough room for something unexpected to happen.

What does a vow renewal in Venice actually feel like?

For this celebration, there was no large wedding venue or long guest list.

Instead, the couple chose the historic Brunelleschi Apartment near the Arsenale, inviting around fifteen people who had shared important chapters of their lives.

The private garden became the setting for an intimate ceremony, followed by time together with family and friends.

We photographed the day from the small gestures during the vows to the moments that happened afterwards — the conversations, smiles and quiet time between the couple.

There is a very different Venice just after sunrise.

For this honeymoon session, the morning began along Riva degli Schiavoni, with the lagoon still quiet and the first boats beginning to move across the water.

From there, we continued to Ca’ Sagredo Hotel, moving from the open waterfront into the historic interiors of the palace.

The contrast between these two locations became an important part of the story: sunrise, water and open views outside; architecture, artwork and historic details inside.

A summer morning in Venice. A quiet bridge. One question.

And then everything changed.

This surprise proposal began early in the day, when Venice was still relatively quiet and the light was soft across the canals.

After the proposal, we continued into Dorsoduro for a relaxed save-the-date session. No rush, no elaborate posing — just the two of them walking through Venice and enjoying the first hours of being engaged.

This is one of the reasons I love proposal photography in Venice. The proposal is only the beginning.

Imagine waking up in Venice while the city is still quiet.

The summer sun is just beginning to warm the buildings around Piazza San Marco. You walk through Castello, cross a few quiet streets, and eventually find yourself near Santa Maria del Giglio.

This was an engagement photoshoot in Venice, but it felt more like a morning spent exploring Italy together.

Some love stories don't need a grand venue.

This spring elopement began in the quiet streets around Piazza San Marco, continued through Accademia and Dorsoduro, and ended with an intimate ceremony at Punta della Dogana. Under a soft rainy sky, the bride's father celebrated the ceremony while Venice became the perfect backdrop.
