I always ask my couples to tell me more about themselves so I can get to know them and bring that into their photos. Are they more shy? Are they silly? What kind of dates do they go on? How can I bring that into their session? When Jacob & Angela told me they loved wine, I knew just the spot!

We had an absolute blast at Sakonnet Vineyard tasting all of their wines with the backdrop of the beautiful live music going on in the background. I can’t wait for your wedding!!

Your vendors co-create the vibe with you, that’s real, that’s what all that planning is for. The vision is yours. The ex*****on is ours, and presence on your wedding day happens when you hire people you trust enough to take your vision and run with it. Real professionals don’t just show up day-of, they’re with you through the whole journey leading up to your wedding. That’s what gives you back your presence, it’s the one thing you can’t buy, the thing you can’t get a redo on. It either happened or it didn’t. Trust the planning you put in before the wedding day. Then let it go. Because at the end of the day, you are the vibe.

Golden hour light, blooming wisteria, and two people absolutely head over heels — Lacey & Miguel’s engagement session at Harkness Memorial State Park was actual magic. If my tattoos didn’t already give it away, I’m a little obsessed with flowers, and the wisteria did not disappoint. Your wedding is almost here and I could not be more excited!!

Congrats to Charlotte Brady & Brendan Brady

We had such a blast on their wedding day with a private ceremony and then making our way in style by boat to their reception at Venezia Restaurant Boston I think the best part of my job are seeing people’s dreams come into fruition. All the planning, the Google documents, the texts, emails… but watching it come to life is an absolute joy. To see Charlotte and Brendan just relax and enjoy their day and just celebrate their love was a true gift. Congrats you two, it was an absolute honor 🥂🛥️🌇

To even try to describe how awesome this couple is would be tough. I think sometimes the wedding industry can just wrap us up in all the things, the items, the image or Instagram post that will come out of the day and how closely it matched their inspo. With Shann & Dill, truly and genuinely all that mattered to them was getting married to their best friend and to have a blast with their favorite people. If their 28 person wedding party is any indicator of how deeply they are loved and adored.

On their wedding day it was pouring, but not once did either one of them not have the widest smile on their face. Not a single thing could ruin this day for them. All the love to you both. It was an honor to capture this day and I wish you the best of luck in your next chapter. ❤️❤️

Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester is a place this couple keeps coming back to together to be with family and enjoy the beauty of New England summers. They are getting married here next year and we worked together despite weather and crazy schedules to capture them and their love story in a place that was super special to them. As a photographer I get so used to golden hour sessions it is so nice to mix it up sometimes and to embrace the bright sun! I came home to the sweetest thank you note in the mail from them. Thank you & it was an absolute honor to capture your love, it was truly a blast and I cannot wait for you two to make it official next year! ☀️🌊🦀🦞🌅

In the business of serving up dreams. Sarah & Evan’s Northern Italian multi-day elopement was everything they dreamed of. To see my couples vision come to life is my love language.

So much of our culture has been homogenized. We are meant to modify our appearance so we meet society’s ideal beauty standards, we are meant to check off the Tik Tok or Instagram bucket list in x country or location, we must be at this stage of life by the ideal age range. The reality is that our world is so much more complex and there is so much nuance, there are so many paths we can take.

My favorite part about weddings and elopements is that I get to give all my couples permission (not that you need it!) to create something entirely new. This isn’t to knock any trend or say that there is no place for them, but before trying to recreate a trend, I truly challenge people to ask if that trend even feels authentic to them, or fits in the goals of what they might want to create for their wedding day. Or is it just what we think we are supposed to do?

I eloped myself & our location was really intentionally picked and there wasn’t another soul up there on the mountain with us. That was what we wanted. Now not everyone wants to elope, but even if you are having a bigger wedding - do what you want not what you are supposed to do!

This multi day elopement of Sarah & Evan was a dream because I felt like I had their complete trust and each day and part felt so special. They told me their vision and we truly co-created it together.

They wanted mountains, lakes, and italian city vibes without the crowds and it’s exactly what I helped build for them!!

To say I am obsessed with this wedding and these two and this day is an understatement! Absolutely loved working at the .wedgewoodweddings Chatting with these two beforehand with all of my suggestions and arriving the day of realizing they had listened to every.single.one!! I think that is my love language as a photographer. Their timeline flowed so smoothly, they had time for all the photos they wanted and private vows at the Scituate lighthouse.

If I am being honest part of me despises social media, period. We live so much in the virtual space I think we often forget to live our real lives and only pay attention to how our lives appear on a screen that fits in our pocket.

I took an entire trip to Scotland just about a year ago and didn’t make a single post, it did in fact really happen. In some ways I feel like I am doing what my spirit craves, to live out there in real life.

I don’t need to post to feel validated in my work or as a creator.

In other ways I know my future and current couples want to know me more. To see what I am up to and my work, and likewise I love seeing my couples and their milestones, starting new businesses, building a family, traveling, all the things. As your wedding photographer I will continue to be one of your biggest fans.

As creators we also need time and space to just be, without noise and to create for pure fun, and in the spirit of creativity, and to connect with other like minded individuals and to be inspired.

With that I say cheers to folks who made this retreat possible & to the upcoming wedding season and in the spirit of balance, I plan to share more consistently with all of you as I can already feel this year will be one for the books.
