Last May, I started building PAYBACK.
It wasn’t created to go viral.
It wasn’t created just to look beautiful.
It was born because I needed to give a voice to everything I had been carrying inside for years.
I needed to scream without saying a word.
Most people only saw a few photos on Instagram, scrolled past them, and moved on. And that’s okay. A project like this could never be fully understood through a single carousel.
Behind PAYBACK were months of planning, writing, creating, and a team of people who believed in my vision before it even became reality.
PAYBACK is about power.
Money.
Privilege.
It’s about how society often measures someone’s worth by what they own instead of who they are.
It’s about people who are overlooked, underestimated, and made to feel like they’ll never be enough simply because they don’t come from power or wealth.
And it’s about rebellion.
About taking back your voice.
Your identity.
Your place.
For me, this was never just a fashion editorial.
It was a protest.

People who worked on this project started receiving new jobs, new collaborations, and more recognition for their talent.
Seeing everyone grow has been one of the greatest rewards of this journey.
Because that’s what creativity should do.
It should connect people.
It should create opportunities.
It should leave something behind.
Yes, I’ve seen parts of this project being copied.
But ideas can be recreated.
A vision can’t.
Almost a year later, PAYBACK still feels as relevant as it did on day one.
Because the world still rewards power before talent.
But I also believe that people who keep believing in their vision—even when no one else does will eventually make the world stop and look.
And that’s exactly what PAYBACK has always been about.
A maggio dell’anno scorso ho iniziato a costruire Payback.
