Something important happened.

Today I had a meeting with Maria Fratelli, director of Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan.

She officially invited me to create a major solo exhibition of my work.

Not a small project.
A full exhibition.
A space to choose.
A vision to build.

She said something that deeply moved me:
That my work should be shown as much as possible because it’s powerful and brings change as it is true as something changed in her after experiencing it.

I don’t take these words lightly.

This is not just an opportunity.
It’s a responsibility.

A responsibility to bring this work to the scale it deserves.

And I know I cannot do it alone.

So today I’m sharing this with you.

Because this next step will need support, energy, connections, and people who believe in what I do.

In the coming days I’ll share how you can be part of this.

For now, I just want to say:
thank you for being here,
and for growing with me.

This is just the beginning.

Sometimes the past looks straight at us.

My work Art Beyond Imagination is featured in the new issue of OpenEye Magazine (N°44).

A project born from a dialogue between ancient art and contemporary photography, where classical iconography meets colour, light and imagination.

Grateful to OpenEye Magazine for dedicating a section to this research commissioned by

It’s my birthday. A day to think how life is evolving. How do I feel in this world. How I am connecting with others. How am I doing something for this planet. Because we are here not only as a passenger but as someone who can make the difference. And you, how are you coping with life ? 🌟

5 Minutes to Be Seen — Triennale Milano | September 2025
In September 2025, at Triennale Milano, 15 Minutes to Be Seen took place as part of the My Hidden Ego project.
People from different worlds stepped into the same space — participants, professionals, cultural voices.
Each one bringing presence, trust and a very personal way of being seen.
Thank you to everyone who took part in this experience, and to those who shared their time, their image and their openness.
A special thank you to my precious team, whose invisible work made every detail possible,
and to my partners Corriere della Sera and Fujifilm Italia, for supporting a project where photography becomes a space of presence, listening and connection.
This was not just an event.
It was a shared moment — and a clear example of how visual language can create engagement, trust and lasting cultural value.
For institutions, companies and cultural organizations:
this is what happens when image, care and human experience come together. I am sharing a selection of images of who was there sharing the joy also watch the BTS to witness the brilliant work and participation from the public.
Grateful. Focused. Ready for what’s next.

Today I held in my hands the magazine celebrating 160 years of REDA1865.
Leafing through its pages, seeing the works, the graphic design, the editorial quality and the artists involved, felt like revisiting a very precise choice: investing in thought, not only in production.
In 2014, REDA welcomed me without a commercial brief, but with a cultural vision.
They did not ask me to “make images”, but to create a project.
That is how Lux et Filum – A Contemporary Vision of Caravaggio was born.
Extraordinary fabrics, total freedom, real trust.
From there came the idea of uniting light and thread, intuition and structure:
Lux as inner revelation.
Filum as identity, memory, time.
A photography that does not decorate, but holds things together.
For the first time, Caravaggio stepped out of the archive to become present.
Not a citation, but a visual short circuit.
Sacred and human. Painting and photography. Past and now.
“Monica takes Caravaggio, tears him out of time and throws him into ours.”
— Stefano Bollani
Years later, this project continues to live.
Not out of nostalgia, but because quality does not age.
And true vision leaves traces.
My collaboration with REDA remains, for me, a rare example of an authentic alliance between art and cultural enterprise: trust, vision, and respect for creative processes.
This is what makes the difference.
For an artist.
And for a company that wants to build meaning, not noise.
Because light too, like great fabrics, needs structure in order to endure.

I don’t make portraits.
I build a space where people stop pretending — even if just for a breath.
The camera is a doorway: you enter as an image of yourself and leave as something closer to the truth.
Call it photography if you want.
I call it presence in colour and light — the only two things that never lie.

Excited and honored!
My photographic work on the archive of the great Alessandro Mendini is featured in the new issue of DOOR, the magazine by la Repubblica out today December 11th.
A tribute to an extraordinary visionary, in anticipation of the exhibition soon to be held in London at the Estorick Collection.
Gratitude to the editorial team, to the Mendini Sisters and all those who keep beauty and thought alive through art and memory. .milan

The opening of We Need Colours to Survive This World was a luminous, overwhelming success — and the journey has just begun.
The exhibition will be open until November 9th, and I can tell you this: it’s not just a show. It’s an experience that transforms with every ray of light.
Thanks to the holographic films used in the installations, sunlight becomes a co-author of the work. Depending on the time of day you visit, the rooms look completely different. The walls shimmer, the colours shift. Light itself paints the space. And it doesn’t stop at the walls: it spills into the garden, onto the façade, turning the entire foundation into a site-specific living sculpture.
What you see isn’t fixed — it breathes with you.
One of the most talked-about pieces is the installation in the Limonaia, created together with Valerio Fausti: a symphony of photography, design, and new technologies. Together, we pushed the boundaries of what an image can be — beyond frame, beyond surface. It’s not just seen, it’s felt.
The exhibition has already been featured in important media outlets — Il Fatto Quotidiano, ANSA, Corriere della Sera, Sette, FotoCult — and the public response has been incredible.
But the real magic is what happens when you’re there, in person, walking through light and shadow, becoming part of it all.
And for those who want to take a piece of this magic home: very soon, we’ll launch a limited edition of 3D sculptures of the Archangel Gabriel Pop — created during the show as a poetic bridge between colour, spirit, and inner healing.
Only 8 colours, each with a symbolic message.
Each sculpture is signed, numbered, and comes in a custom-designed art box — a 25x7cm guardian to hold and reflect your light.
Stay tuned — the countdown is about to begin.
Don’t miss it. Come and see with your own eyes what colour can do.
Tag someone who needs beauty. Share if this resonates. Let’s make the world brighter — together.
