Selfself Books presenta EFFIMERI
Il nuovo libro di Francesco Quarato
Effimeri è il primo libro di Francesco Quarato: una raccolta di fotografie analogiche che nasce da uno sguardo attento e silenzioso sulla vita quotidiana. Persone incontrate per strada, feste, ombre, oggetti, tracce e piccoli incidenti del quotidiano. Frammenti apparentemente insignificanti che, nello sguardo di Quarato, diventano qualcosa di inatteso. Attraverso il colore e la fotografia analogica, Effimeri costruisce un racconto libero e frammentario dell’esperienza quotidiana. Ogni immagine trattiene un momento fragile e irripetibile, qualcosa che esiste per un istante e che subito dopo è già cambiato.

Un invito a rallentare.
A guardare meglio.

People encountered on the street, parties, shadows, objects, traces, and small incidents of everyday life. Seemingly insignificant fragments that, through Quarato’s lens, become something unexpected. Through color and analog photography, Effimeri weaves a free-flowing, fragmentary narrative of everyday experience. Each image captures a fragile, unrepeatable moment—something that exists for an instant and is already changed the very next moment.

Le immagini documentano architettura industriale e residenziale, mostrando come strutture, spazi e geometrie abbiano modellato il paesaggio urbano e la vita degli abitanti dal primo Novecento a oggi, evidenziando contrasti e integrazioni tra fabbriche, case operaie e assetto urbano contemporaneo.
