3 Gennaio 2026 - Una gelida alba di inizio anno nuovo nelle campagne vicino a Bellinzago Novarese in attesa della Superluna del lupo.
Mi svegliai attorno alle 6 del mattino, l'idea era di fotografare la prima superluna del 2026 tramontare dietro alle cime del Monte Rosa. Avevo pianificato 3 possibili luoghi da cui immortalare lo spettacolo della luna calare prima che sorga il sole. Due punti sono vicino a Milano ma la nebbia avvolgeva pesantemente la zona ovest e sud del capoluogo.
Così mi indirizzai nel punto più lontano da casa ma che con buona probabilità era privo di foschia.
La perseveranza e la pianificazione mi ha ripagato con uno spettacolo davvero magnifico. La luna illumina le creste e mostra il fenomeno dello scaccianeve (forte vento che solleva i cristalli di ghiaccio nell'aria).
Ma non finì qui...appena rientrato a casa scoprii con enorme piacere che a brevissima distanza da me c'era il grandissimo Valerio Minato a fotografare lo stesso evento!

January 3, 2026 - A chilly dawn at the start of the New Year in the countryside near Bellinzago Novarese, awaiting the Supermoon of the Wolf.
I woke up around 6:00 a.m., with the idea of photographing the first supermoon of 2026 setting behind the peaks of Monte Rosa. I had planned three possible locations from which to capture the spectacle of the moon setting before the sun rises. Two spots are near Milan, but fog was heavy in the western and southern areas of the metropolis.
So I headed to the spot furthest from home, but most likely free of fog.
My perseverance and planning rewarded me with a truly magnificent spectacle. The moon illuminates the ridges and shows the phenomenon of snow-blowing (strong wind that lifts ice crystals into the air).
But it didn't end there...as soon as I got home, I discovered with great pleasure that just a stone's throw away was the great Valerio Minato photographing the same event!
