Dopo mesi di silenzio, torno a pubblicare.
Lo faccio con tre immagini.

Tre anni fa, durante un grande shooting di My Time with Wolves - Il mio tempo con i lupi, ho vissuto un’esperienza fatta di emozione, attesa e pazienza. La neve non arrivava mai. E i lupi nemmeno.

After months of silence, I’m posting again.
I’m doing it with three images.

Three years ago, during a major shoot for My Time with Wolves - Il mio tempo con i lupi, I lived through an experience made of emotion, waiting, and patience.
The snow never came. And neither did the wolves.
After weeks spent waiting in the cold and the frost, it seemed like nothing was going to happen. It was a real test; the first chapter of the feature film, the one that, according to the script, was meant to open the story.
Then, one day in March, something magical happened. And it filled the hearts of those who were there.
There are moments when nature cannot be chased, only waited for. And when it finally decides to reveal itself, it leaves something inside you that you never forget.

This stunning vixen lived in a park near my homea few years ago. I was lucky enough to follow her closely over several months, witnessing her raise her cubs. It was a deeply enriching experience, both personally and professionally.
That spring, I was working with foxes as part of my preparation for filming bears in Abruzzo later that year. It was a magical time, full of discovery. Happy days!

"In good hands" part 3

The European roller is a stunning bird that nests in tree holes and abandoned buildings across the Italian countryside. Every year, it undertakes an incredible journey, traveling 8000 kilometers to spend the winter in Namibia.

Sebastian, a dedicated conservationist, builds nesting boxes and places them throughout the rural areas outside Rome. He cares for both chicks and adult birds, ringing them and occasionally fitting them with GPS trackers to study their extraordinary migration. He also shares his knowledge with students and animal lovers, inspiring the next generation of wildlife guardians.

These photos of "In good hands 1-2-3" (see recent IG posts) are just small glimpses of a much larger story. I’m working on a new film to introduce you to the real heroes: those who protect, study, and fight for these birds. With more depth, action, knowledge, and passion!

Kestrels are a common bird of prey found throughout Italy. In Rome and its countryside, they’re being closely studied and protected by Gianluca, a dedicated naturalist. He helps them breed safely by installing nest boxes and tracking their movements with GPS technology. This not only supports their population but also provides valuable data to the scientific community. Thanks to his work, more safe nesting sites are now being created in the capital.

"In good hands"

I’ve always been drawn to human stories, especially those of people who dedicate their lives to animals and nature. This time, I followed a pair of hands working gently, tirelessly, and with purpose: protecting the Kentish plover.
This small, ground nesting bird lives on the beach right in front of my house. It's endangered, vulnerable, and incredibly easy to miss if you’re not looking.
But Claudio, Gabriele, and Francesca are looking. In their free time, outside of their regular jobs, they monitor nests, ring chicks, collect data, and quietly protect an entire species most people walk past without even noticing.
It’s humbling to witness their work. And it's a privilege to share their story.

"Traffic in the house 🐝"

I rarely post feeds about insects, as I usually show you mammal or bird content, but here we are. I wanted to share with you some videos from my trip in Panama.
A part from filming in the jungle, I spent some time in a rural area with different bee families and I had the proviledge to film them upclose.
The bees is the first video are domesticated bees. The bees in the second one are different family that live inside of a tree. Bees are simply amazing! 🐝
