A bold-color Tuscany wedding at Castello Bonaria and a recessional I’ll remember for years.

This is what I love about being a destination wedding photographer in Tuscany: couples who fly all the way to Italy and then actually commit to a vision. Coral fabric backdrop. A wall of hot-pink and peach garden roses by my partner Sonja at FunkyBird Weddings, who quietly happens to be one of the best Tuscan wedding florists working today. The hills holding the whole frame together.

Most couples planning a Tuscany wedding default to white-and-green. It photographs beautifully, but it’s safe. This one wasn’t. We timed the ceremony so the early-afternoon light hit the florals dead-on, and the recessional landed in the one minute the petals caught the breeze the right way.
