A Bellagio–Varenna combination is one of the best half-day outings on Lake Como because both towns are compact, scenic and easily reachable by a short ferry ride ⛴️

Spend about 2 hours in Bellagio .. then..
•Ferry to Varenna.
•Visit Villa Monastero.
•Hike 20–30 minutes uphill to Castello di Vezio for one of the best viewpoints over Lake Como.
•Return to Varenna for lunch or gelato.

OR: start in Varenna first, then visit Bellagio and lunch at Grand Villa Serbelloni hotel, with mountain & lake views ❤️

Mornings in Positano are unique. Here’s why… 🩵

The pastel-colored houses catch the first sunlight, creating a soft golden glow across the cliffs, the narrow streets are still quiet before day-trippers arrive, cafés begin setting out tables and you’d enjoy the scent of espresso from afar! The main beach is calmer, with swimmers and photographers taking advantage of the peaceful atmosphere, and if you look out over the sea, the water is often at its smoothest in the early hours, especially on clear summer days like these ones 💚

Imagine spending summer mornings in Positano, waking up to a cup of espresso from a nearby pasticceria, whilst taking in these memorising views! Would you?

When in Jerusalem - ألقدس

Jerusalem ألقدس - is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, with people living there for thousands of years.

* The city is famous for its distinctive “Jerusalem stone,” a pale limestone used on many buildings, giving the city its warm golden glow at sunset.

* Jerusalem has more than 2,000 archaeological sites, with discoveries constantly being uncovered beneath streets and buildings.

Would you spend few days in this historic city? ☀️

In Mürren, you’ll find snow-capped peaks, cliffside Swiss chalets and the kind of stillness that makes time slow down 🏔️

Would you wake up here?🇨🇭

Surrounded by iconic peaks like the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, it’s one of the few car-free villages in Switzerland - peaceful, postcard-perfect and unreal in every direction 🏔️🇨🇭

Take a train to Lauterbrunnen, hop on the cable car to Grütschalp, then ride the scenic mountain train straight into Mürren 🚠

No cars. No noise. Just time moving differently 🩵

Hydra is one of the only Greek islands where cars are basically banned! For this reason, it must be one of my favourite Greek islands.

⛵️Situated in the Saronic Gulf of Greece, just a short ferry ride from Athens - however, it feels like another world entirely.

Sicily: where every corner looks cinematic

Visiting Sicily in May is a great time! Not too busy, beautiful weather and offers a slower-paced travel experience. My first stop was Toarmina, which I call the Amalfi Coast of Sicily! Next was Palermo (not on this post), a full day trip from Toarmina.

Although travelling by train is a great choice, however, do expect delays or even cancellations of certain trains, having a knock-on effect on your journey back to Toarmina.
