🇮🇹 Nel 1973 un aereo della marina americana si schiantò sulla spiaggia di Sólheimasandur, in Islanda, nel tentativo di effettuare un atterraggio di emergenza.
Fortunatamente, dei 7 passeggeri nessuna di loro p***e la vita.
Oggi la carcassa del C-117D è ancora lì, nel punto di atterraggio, dove è possibile visitarla anche dall'interno.

🇬🇧 In 1973 an American Navy plane crashed on the beach of Sólheimasandur, Iceland, in an attempt to make an emergency landing.
Fortunately, among the 7 passengers none of them lost his life.
