A Workshop on Photography and Filmmaking was held on 21st April, 2018 by Ksh*tij Sheetak. He is a filmmaker/ cinematographer based in Gurgaon, Founder and CEO of The Good Karma Inc and most importantly, he runs a filmmaking academy called Shootguru. He believes that the best learning is the one that is hands-on and practical, and this is exactly how he teaches at the Shootguru Academy.
The workshop focused mainly on all the aspects of Filmmaking, but a few basics of Photography were also covered. A broad list of topics which were how to use a camera, pre-production in filmmaking, cinematography, post production and basics of filmmaking equipment. Ksh*tij and his incredibly talented team had also brought a wide array of filmmaking equipment with them for the participants to observe and study.
The participants learned in detail all the essential components of making, producing and directing a film from how to write a script to the importance of budget. After the presentation, the participants were taken outside for an interactive session on drones and how to shoot with them. They were fascinated by the DJI Mavic Pro and how well it shot footage of the university. The maneuverability and tracking of the DJI Spark also was unanimously appreciated. Ksh*tij also answered each and every question asked to him, that too in immense detail. It was an incredibly fun event and surpassed everyone’s expectations by a huge amount.
