A little moment I’d like to share. 📷✨

11th 35AWARDS International Photography Competition

🏅Ranked among the Top 150 photographers in the USA, alongside nearly 4,000 other talented photographers.

My first annual entry to the 35AWARDS International Photography Competition. In itself, that felt like a milestone for me.

➡️ Out of more than 112,000 photographers from 175 countries and over 461,000 submitted photographs, two of my images advanced to the second stage of judging.

It took me years to understand what I wanted to show through my photographs. Much like my writing, I realized I wanted to tell stories through my image including stories of people, places, emotions, and moments that often go unnoticed.

🎞️Photography has become a way for me to slow down, observe more closely, and tell stories without words. Every recognition like this feels less like an achievement and more like encouragement to keep looking, listening, and documenting the world around me.

Grateful for the journey and excited for what comes next. 📷✨

I was talking to a friend the other day and found myself walking down memory lane, back to my solo varanasi days.

I went solo, but never truly felt alone. Somewhere between quiet walks and the sound of temple bells, I found friends in strangers like the security uncle, the flower-selling aunty, the evening deepam-selling aunty, and the little boy dressed as Shiva. Every evening became our special catch-up time. I’d return to my favorite spot after the aarti, listening to their stories and sharing snippets of my day especially with the security uncle, who welcomed me always with a happy smile. We’d talk about life, experiences, and the good times that make it all worthwhile.

Wherever I travel, I find myself connecting with locals like them. I share my stories, and they listen with such curiosity and warmth and it’s heartening to see how quickly bonds form.

The most touching part? They’d speak with so much love and care about how I could move to Kashi, where I might stay, and how we could become one small group of friends that meets every evening. Moments like these are what inspire me to travel more. They remind me that goodness and kindness still exist, in the simplest people and the quietest corners of the world.

✨Featured internationally

Featured in the April issue of Artells Magazine, with one image selected as the cover for the City & Architecture Edition.

➡️This series explores architecture, memory, and human presence across cities. I’m drawn to the world in black and white, where the absence of color reveals a different kind of emotion, one that feels quieter, deeper, and more enduring.

Thanks to .magazine team for featuring this.

Series locations:⬇️
1. Golden Gate Bridge, California
2. San Francisco skyline
3. Gateway of India (Mumbai)

Photography from my Varanasi Unfiltered series has been published in Divide Magazine, a UK-based publication showcasing contemporary photography.
A city of rituals, pauses, and people seen without spectacle, just presence.

Grateful for stories that travel beyond borders. 🤍

About the Photo - Life unfolds quietly along the ghats of Varanasi while boats wait, people gather, conversations pause, and rituals blend seamlessly into daily routine.

Grateful for this recognition

Varanasi Unfiltered
This project is deeply personal to me. Varanasi, one of the oldest living cities, holds a special place in my heart.
Walking along its ghats and witnessing rituals and everyday life, each frame became more than a photograph. This series is my attempt to share moments that are raw, alive, and human.
