Boating on Nainital Lake, captured from the Bamboo Huts…!
Nainital has a very deep and emotional connection with my heart. Over the years, it has become crowded with outsiders, and the charm has slowly faded, yet my soul still feels rooted here. Since childhood, I have explored many beautiful places, but Nainital remains sacred to me — especially because it holds the memories of my beloved grandmother.
I still remember the day when the new dragon boats arrived at the lake. I wanted to ride one, but my parents didn’t allow me. I spent the entire day in silent anger — all because of that one dragon boat. Even today, that small childhood wish lives quietly inside my heart.
From Patwa Dagar to the hidden corners of the town and the surrounding hills, I carry countless memories of this place. Nainital has always been my refuge — my quiet shelter from the world. But today, it breaks my heart to see how the city is changing. Too many people come without respect, spreading filth, breaking beauty, and filling the air with noise that kills the spirituality and dignity of this sacred land. Sadly, at times, even locals become part of this destruction.
The peace I felt between 2003 and 2011 no longer exists. The silence is gone, the innocence is gone, and the soul of the city feels wounded. Still… no matter how loud the world becomes, no matter how broken the streets feel — Nainital will always live inside me.
Dedicated to all those quiet souls who truly loved this city, who walked these paths with respect, who felt its magic in silence… and to my childhood memories that still breathe every time I close my eyes. This place raised a part of my soul, and I will carry it forever.
तू छे मेरी मायादारा तू मेरो दिल मा ❤️
