Two years on, the dilapidated condition of the road leading to Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) in Awantipora, Pulwama has turned nightmare for students as well as locals.

Almost half-kilometre uphill stretch, connecting the university with main Awantipora road, has been lying in shambles since past two years leaving varsity students grappling with hardships.

To navigate through the shabby and bumpy road, the students say that they've to struggle regularly to reach the university with the inclement weather at times, making their quest to climb even more challenging.

The locals equally echoed the same concern while calling on concerned authorities to fix and blacktop the road, much to their relief.
