A teacher is not just someone who writes on a blackboard. A teacher is the light that shows us the path in darkness. Parents bring us into this world, but a teacher teaches us how to live in this world.

A teacher never gets tired, never stops. Forgetting his own happiness and comfort, he only thinks about the future of his students. Even when he scolds us, there is love behind it, and even when he punishes us, there is an intention to make us better.

Whatever we are today, wherever we are, behind it is the hard work, prayers, and lessons of some teacher. We can get knowledge from books, but the real meaning of life, how to respect others, how to respect elders, how to have courage in difficult times - all this is taught by a Teacher only.

In this world everything has a price, but a teacher's hard work is priceless. So always respect your teachers and obey them, because a teacher's prayer can even change your destiny.

A GRAND SEERAT-UN-NABI ﷺ CONFERENCE AT IQRA MODEL PUBLIC SCHOOL, KANDI KARNAH

Iqra Model Public School, Kandi Karnah proudly hosted a magnificent Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ Conference, bringing together more than 200 local participants in a spiritually uplifting, educational and memorable gathering dedicated entirely to the blessed life, character and teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

The programme was exclusively based on Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ, with school children taking an active role in presenting different aspects of the life, character, struggles, teachings and noble traditions of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Through their speeches, presentations and activities, the students highlighted important lessons from the life of the Prophet ﷺ and conveyed the message of following his exemplary path in our daily lives.

The conference was attended by prominent personalities, respected dignitaries, community members, educationists, officials, parents, students and people from different parts of the Karnah Valley. Along with the school community, a large number of local people also participated in the programme. Members of the media fraternity were present to cover and highlight the significance of the event. Local women also took part in the gathering and attended the programme at the school, making the conference inclusive and representative of the wider community.

A major attraction of the event was the creative model-making competition organised around the historical background of the Seerah. The students prepared different educational models depicting important aspects of the era of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, including the historical environment of Madinah, the Kaaba and the conditions of society during the period when idol worship and polytheism were prevalent. These models helped the students understand Islamic history in a creative and practical manner while also allowing them to present their knowledge before the audience.

During his two-day visit to Karnah, Gold Medallist Irshad Manzoor Bhat, a Wheelchair Basketball and Wheelchair Cricket player, visited several schools and interacted with students. During his visit to Saifi Memorial Neolight Public School, Tangdar, he delivered a motivational speech, encouraged the students, and shared his life experiences, including the challenges and difficulties he faced due to his disability and how he overcame them with courage and determination.

His inspiring interaction motivated the students to believe in themselves and never let challenges become a barrier to achieving their dreams. He also distributed certificates among the students for their participation and achievements, along with Principal Mr. Shafi Sahib.

*Wheelchair Basketball Players Irshad Manzoor Bhatt & Rameez Raja's Two-Day Inspirational Visit to Karnah*

International Wheelchair Basketball Player and Para Athlete Irshad Manzoor Bhatt, along with Wheelchair Basketball Player Rameez Raja, recently visited Karnah for a two-day visit along with their Coach Shahid Raza, who is the coach of the Wheelchair Basketball Team and hails from Tangdar, Karnah.

Both players are associated with *Voluntary Medicare Society (VMS), Bemina Srinagar, an NGO dedicated to rehabilitation, education, accessibility, sports, and inclusion of persons with disabilities for the last five decades.* VMS was founded by *Mr. Mir Mohammad Maqbool, President VMS, a legendary personality known as Baba-e-ENT (Father of ENT) in Kashmir.*

Their visit to Karnah was aimed at promoting the spirit of sports, motivation, inclusion, and confidence among students and the wider community. The visit provided an important opportunity for these accomplished sportspersons to share their experiences, challenges, and inspiring sporting journeys with young students and local people.

During their stay in Karnah, along with Coach Shahid Raza and members of Sports Association Karnah, they visited several educational institutions and interacted with students. They delivered motivational speeches at Safi Memorial New Light Public School, Orient Public School, and Dream Valley Educational Institute.

Their interactions with students focused on the importance of self-confidence, determination, hard work, discipline, and the belief that physical disability should never become a barrier to achieving one's dreams. Through their own life experiences and sporting achievements, they conveyed a strong message that persons with disabilities should never consider themselves less capable than others. Instead, they should recognize their abilities, identify their strengths, and work towards achieving the goals they set for themselves.

The motivational sessions were especially significant for young students because Irshad Manzoor Bhatt and Rameez Raja shared real-life experiences from their sporting careers and demonstrated how determination and a positive mindset can help an individual overcome challenges. Their message was not limited only to sports; they encouraged students to pursue education, professional careers, creative fields, and other areas of life with confidence.

The Pahari Section of the Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) today organized a grand one-day Pahari Literary Meet at Government Degree College, Karnah. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from prominent literary figures, poets, and intellectuals of the region.
Senior JKAS officer Mr. Abdul Hameed Khan graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Dr. (Prof.) Assadullah Khan, Principal of GDC Karnah, presided over the function. President of the Bar Association, Adv. Qazi Mehboob Illahi, attended as the Guest of Honor. Senior writer and artist Mr. Abdul Rasheed Qureshi and Dr. A.H. Masoodi, Special Secretary, IT Department, were also seated in the presidium. Notable presence at the event included senior literary figure Shafi Ishfaq Saeed.
During the literary session, research papers highlighting diverse aspects of Pahari language and literature were presented by Abdul Rasheed Lone Gamgeen, Mir Ghulam Hyder Nadeem, and Mohd Ayoub Nayeem.
The poetic session saw captivating recitations by renowned poets including Ab. Aziz Maldyal Nadeem, Abdul Rasheed Qureshi, Shabir Ghazi, Mashkoor Ahmad Shad, Iftikhar Qureshi, Shakeel Awan Sagar, Mukhtar Awan, Mir Khushal Faizi, Ghulam Yehya Qais, Sajjad Malik, Sajjad ul Hassan, Zameer Ahmad Awan, Raja Nazir Khan, Safeer Beidar, Azad Khan Azad, and Amjid Sheikh, Mansoor Shedai. In the short story segment, fiction writers including Raza Javaid Qureshi presented their literary work.
The proceedings were conducted by Abdul Wahid Manhas, Research Assistant (Pahari), JKAACL, who also delivered the welcome address and presented the vote of thanks. Speaking on the occasion, Abdul Wahid Manhas deliberated upon the overall functioning, literary activities, and ongoing publication initiatives of JKAACL, particularly the Pahari Section.
In his presidential address, Principal Dr. Assadullah Khan commended JKAACL for the initiative, stating: "It is a highly welcoming and commendable step that JKAACL is bringing senior litterateurs and emerging writers together on a shared platform, enabling the younger generation to learn from the expertise of their seniors.
