Plantation Drive Held in Bomai Zaingair Sopore

Sopore: A plantation drive was organized in Bomai Zaingair by the Jk Forest Department (Kandi Range Bomai, Kamraj Division) in collaboration with the Civil Society of Bomai Zaingair, Sopore.

The event witnessed active participation from Forest officials and members of the local civil society. On the occasion, Ranger Officer Syed Bilal Masood was present along with other officials and prominent members of the Civil Society Bomai, including its president and volunteers.

The plantation drive was carried out under the directions of higher authorities of the department, with the aim of promoting environmental awareness and increasing green cover in the area.
Participants highlighted the importance of tree plantation in maintaining ecological balance and urged the public to contribute towards environmental conservation.

سوپور کے علاقے صدی پورہ کے رہائشیوں نے آج موجودہ صورتحال پر شدید ناراضگی کا اظہار کیا، جہاں طلبہ اور مقامی لوگ شدید مشکلات کا سامنا کر رہے ہیں۔ اسکول جانے والی سڑک پانی جمع ہونے کی وجہ سے دریا جیسی شکل اختیار کر چکی ہے، جس سے خاص طور پر طلبہ کو سخت پریشانی کا سامنا ہے۔
مقامی لوگوں کا کہنا ہے کہ بنیادی سہولیات کی کمی، خستہ حال سڑکیں اور ناقص نکاسی آب کے نظام نے روزمرہ زندگی کو مشکل بنا دیا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ بارہا حکام کو اس مسئلے سے آگاہ کرنے کے باوجود اب تک کوئی ٹھوس اقدام نہیں اٹھایا گیا۔
رہائشیوں نے انتظامیہ سے مطالبہ کیا ہے کہ وہ اس صورتحال کا سنجیدہ نوٹس لے اور فوری اقدامات کرتے ہوئے مسئلے کو حل کرے تاکہ عوام کو راحت مل سکے۔

Continuous rainfall in the season has once again exposed the fragile civic infrastructure in Naseerabad area of Sopore, as several localities were inundated, leaving the area resembling a lake.
Overflowing drains and an inadequate drainage system resulted in rainwater entering residential houses, causing widespread inconvenience to the locals. Multiple areas remained waterlogged, with streets submerged and normal life severely disrupted.
Residents said that the situation forced local People to shut schools for three days, while many families faced immense hardship as water seeped into their homes, damaging household belongings and forcing them to shift to safer locations.

Locals expressed strong resentment, stating that such issues recur every year during the rainy season, but no concrete measures have been taken so far.
“We face the same situation every year, but nothing changes,” said a local resident.
The aggrieved residents have urged the administration to take immediate steps to improve the drainage system, ensure proper desilting of drains, and provide necessary relief to the affected families.

شمالی کشمیر کے ضلع بارہمولہ کے سوپور میں باغبانی سے وابستہ فروٹ گروورز اور کسانوں نے شدید مشکلات پر تشویش کا اظہار کیا ہے۔
کسانوں کا کہنا ہے کہ گزشتہ کئی برسوں سے درپیش مختلف مسائل کی وجہ سے ان کا روزگار بری طرح متاثر ہو رہا ہے۔ انہوں نے بتایا کہ مارکیٹ میں دو نمبر اور غیر معیاری ادویات کی دستیابی نے ان کے باغات کو نقصان پہنچایا ہے۔
ان کے مطابق محکمہ ہارٹیکلچر کی جانب سے مناسب رہنمائی فراہم نہیں کی جا رہی، جس کی وجہ سے انہیں یہ بھی معلوم نہیں ہوتا کہ کس وقت کون سی دوا استعمال کرنی چاہیے، اور اسی وجہ سے پیداوار متاثر ہو رہی ہے۔
فروٹ گروورز نے مزید کہا کہ وہ مختلف مشکلات سے دوچار ہیں لیکن متعلقہ محکمہ کی طرف سے اب تک ان کے مسائل کے حل کے لیے کوئی سنجیدہ اقدامات نہیں کیے گئے۔
انہوں نے حکومت اور متعلقہ حکام سے مطالبہ کیا ہے کہ ان کے مسائل کا فوری نوٹس لیا جائے، معیاری ادویات کی فراہمی کو یقینی بنایا جائے اور کسانوں کو بروقت رہنمائی فراہم کی جائے تاکہ وہ اپنی باغبانی کو
بہتر طریقے سے جاری رکھ سکیں۔

وادی کشمیر کے مختلف اضلاع میں موسم بہار شروع ہوتے ہی باغبانی کے حوالے سے زمیندار اپنے اپنے کھیتوں میں سبزی یا دیگر کام شروع کرتے ہے اور اسی طرح اگر ہم شمالی کشمیر کے ضلع بارہمولہ کے سوپور کے آرم پورہ علاقے کی بات کرے تو یہاں پر اس علاقے سال بھر زمیندار لوگ سبزی کا کام کرتے ہے اور اس علاقے سے سبزی وادی کے مختلف اضلاع میں جاتی ہے اور یہاں کا کسان اپنی روزی روٹی کماتا ہے۰

دراصل آرم پورہ سوپور میں گزشتہ برسوں سے کسان لوگ سبزی اوگاتے ہیں اور ہم سے کم دو یا تین ہزار کسان اس کام کے سات جوڑے ہیں اور ہر قسم کی سبزی اوگاتے ہے۰

Residents of Gundbrat, Sopore Suffer Due to Lack of Basic Facilities
Sopore, : Residents of Gundbrat area in Sopore have expressed serious concern over the absence of basic facilities, saying that they continue to face daily hardships due to official neglect.
Locals alleged that despite repeated claims by the government regarding development in various parts of the region, Gundbrat remains largely ignored. They said essential amenities such as proper road connectivity, drainage systems, clean drinking water, and street lighting are either inadequate or completely missing.
“We hear about development everywhere, but there is no visible improvement in our area,” said a local resident, adding that people are forced to live in difficult conditions due to the lack of infrastructure.
Residents further stated that the poor condition of roads and absence of proper drainage often leads to waterlogging, especially during rains, making movement difficult for pedestrians and vehicles alike.
The locals have appealed to the authorities to take immediate steps to address their grievances and ensure that basic facilities are provided without further delay.

اس موقع پر مختلف دیہات سے تعلق رکھنے والے اراکین نے کہا کہ فروٹ انڈسٹری کو شدید چیلنجز کا سامنا ہے اور ہر گزرتے دن کے ساتھ یہ صنعت زوال کا شکار ہو رہی ہے۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ ہماری صنعت مشکلات میں گھری ہوئی ہے اور ہمیں ریلیف کی اشد ضرورت ہے، لیکن اب تک ہمیں کئی مسائل کا سامنا ہے۔
انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ ہمارے جائز مطالبات کو پورا کیا جانا چاہیے کیونکہ ہم گزشتہ کئی برسوں سے مشکلات جھیل رہے ہیں اور ہر معاملے میں پیچھے رہ گئے ہیں۔
انہوں نے یہ بھی کہا کہ فروٹ گروورز ایسوسی ایشن 1976 میں قائم کی گئی تھی جس کے سربراہ عبد الکبیر ڈار تھے، لیکن افسوس کہ آج تک ہمارے مطالبات پورے نہیں کیے گئے۔ اس دوران بہت سے کاشتکار مختلف سطحوں پر متاثر ہوئے ہیں۔
انہوں نے اپیل کی کہ ہمارے ساتھ ناانصافی ہوئی ہے اور تمام زیر التوا مطالبات کو جلد از جلد پورا کیا جائے

شمالی کشمیر کے ضلع بارہمولہ کے قصبہ سوپور سے تعلق رکھنے والی تابندہ نامی ایک خاتون نے گھر کے کچن سے کاروبار شروع کر کے خود کفالت کی ایک قابل تقلید مثال قائم کی ہے۔ 'کلاؤڈ کِچن' کی شروعات سے وہ اپنے ساتھ ساتھ دیگر کئی افراد کو بھی روزگار فراہم کر ہی ہے۔
