History is created at Ranthambhore.
For those who have travelled to this place frequently would know that there is a bridge made of rocks that becomes visible at Rajbagh lake when the water level goes lower. During summer, animals use this bridge to cross the rajbagh lake from one point to another and it is safer to cross then because of the quantum of crocodiles inside the lake.
However, never before have I seen tigers cross the lake in January - when the bridge is not even visible. When I say Tigers, I mean a whole family of Tigers (in this case 4).
Riddhi had made a kill at Jhalra and her cubs were at Mallik. Riddhi went and fetched her cubs and on the way back used a short cut via Rajbagh Lake. It took the family some time before they gathered courage to cross the lake without the bridge being visible. Riddhi led the cubs very nicely during the crossing and thereafter to Jhalra. Seen in this frame are Riddhi followed by Baali and then Veeru (her male cubs). Her female cub was slightly behind (not in this frame) but also crossed soon after.
