Renault Duster Strong Hybrid launched at ₹16.99 lakh.
The headline is the E-Tech powertrain. A 1.8L petrol engine, two electric motors, and a 1.4 kWh battery combine for 160 PS and 208 Nm. It uses an F1-inspired multi-mode gearbox with 2 electric gears and 4 petrol gears, creating 15 drive combinations.
It delivers 29 kmpl ARAI, up to 80% city driving in pure EV mode, and up to 29% fuel savings compared to a diesel. No external charging is needed.
Six driving modes include All-Electric, Series Hybrid, and Energy Recovery. There's also an E-Save mode to preserve battery for later.
The SUV retains 212 mm ground clearance and a 26.9° approach angle. Inside, the Emotion variant gets dune brown leatherette, a 10.1-inch OpenR link screen, a 10.25-inch digital cluster, and a panoramic sunroof.
Battery warranty is 8 years / 160,000 km. The Protect 360 package adds zero-dep insurance, AMC, and 60% assured resale value after 3 years.
