The Unstoppable Spirit of Ellora!
A Giant Carved from a Single Stone

Imagine standing before a mountain and deciding to turn the entire thing into a temple using only a hammer and chisel. Over 1,300 years ago, ancient Indian workers did exactly that at the Ellora Caves. They didn't use bricks, wood, or cement instead, they started at the very top of the mountain and carved downward into the solid rock. This means the entire massive structure is made of one single stone with absolutely no joints or separate parts. It is a miracle of engineering that can't be replicated in today's world.

As time passed, the caves faced dark days when invaders like the Mughals arrived. They tried to wipe out the soul of India by breaking the faces and noses of the Hindu gods, acting like an invasive species trying to choke the life out of a beautiful garden. But while they could chip the stone, they could not break the spirit of the mountain. Today, even with those scars, the monument stands tall and proud. It tells a powerful story of survival—a reminder that no matter who tries to invade or destroy our roots, the strength of our history and faith remains unshakable. This temple isn't just a building; it is a giant that refused to fall.

I thought I was exhausted, until the universe decided to put on a show.

The third slide is living proof that the universe is the ultimate artist. I watched the stars stay up just to witness the "moonset". A moment so dramatically cinematic that words truly fail to capture it. I was on the Kedarkantha trek, completely exhausted, when I took a break and caught this breathtaking phenomenon. As beautiful as this photo is, it's just a shadow of the real thing , some experiences are meant for the eyes, not just the camera lens.

Have you ever seen a moonset in the mountains, or are you more of a sunrise person?
